Kate Hudson's Net Worth Is More Than You Think

Kate Hudson was practically born to succeed. So, it's not surprising to see that the 41-year-old is worth a reported $80 million.

Hudson was born to actor Goldie Hawn, of Overboard and The First Wives Club, and her then-husband, Bill Hudson, an actor, musician, and comedian who starred on Doogie Howser, M.D., in 1979. Hudson grew up with Kurt Russell, of Poseidon, Vanilla Sky, and Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood, as a stepdad. Not surprisingly, she went on to follow in her parents' footsteps by taking on a number of memorable roles.

Perhaps Hudson's most notable role came in 2003, when she starred alongside Matthew McConaughey in How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. According to Celebrity Net Worth, the film grossed over $100 million at the box office and resulted in the on-screen couple being cast alongside one another again in 2018's Fool's Gold, which was also a box office success.

Hudson also nabbed starring roles in Almost Famous, You, Me and Dupree, and Bride Wars, which grossed $114 million.

Kate Hudson isn't just an actress

In addition to her film success, which continued in the 2010s with independent flicks, including, The Killer Inside Me, A Little Bit of Heaven, and Something Borrowed, and a voice-over role in 2016's Kung Fu Panda 3, which raked in $521 million, Hudson appeared as "Cassandra July" in five episodes of the TV series, Glee, from 2012 to 2013, and made a cameo appearance on Erin and Sara Foster's reality show, Barely Famous, in 2015 (via IMDb).

Shortly after her stint on Glee, Hudson teamed up with a project that didn't involve acting, Fabletics. As some may know, Hudson founded the company, which offers a subscription to athleisure, in 2013, and initially focused on e-commerce. However, years later, the brand has 22 retail stores, and also offers a menswear line under the label FL2.

According to a 2017 article from Forbes (via Celebrity Net Worth), the company was once worth an alleged $250 million. That means that Hudson, who is believed to own 20 percent of the brand, has a pre-tax stake in the company that is worth $50 million, which is over half of her entire net worth.
