Tinsley Mortimer Makes A Sad Announcement About Her Relationship

Former Real Housewives of New York City star Tinsley Mortimer has split from fiancé Scott Kluth. Speaking to Us Weekly, an insider revealed Mortimer was "completely blindsided" by Kluth's decision to call off the engagement, adding "Tinsley feels like she wasted four years of her life on Scott."

The source revealed the ex-RHONY star was on the set of a photoshoot when she heard the devastating news. Although, a second insider claimed news of the break-up should come as no surprise. "Tinsley shouldn't feel blindsided when she was aware it was over months ago," the source told Us Weekly, adding, "Maybe it actually sunk in last week, but Scott did not blindside her. They have not seen each other since the beginning of January. They did not spend Valentine's Day together. He's been living alone since January."

In a statement to People, Kluth spoke of the "difficult decision" to break things off. "After fourteen months of engagement, Tinsley and I have ended our relationship, and we have been living independently for the last few months." He continued that he believed it was the right decision for them both, as well as sharing that he wished her well.

Tinsley Mortimer's former co-star sent a message of support

Wrapping up the statement to People, Kluth concluded, "While I understand this news will be of interest to many, I ask for privacy and understanding during this time as I continue to work on recovering emotionally from the end of our relationship."

Tinsley Mortimer's friend and former RHONY co-star Leah McSweeney appeared to share a message of support on Instagram, posting a screenshot from Sex and the City along with a simple — and now-deleted — caption that read "trash." Tinsley later replied to the post in question, commenting, "Love you beyond! You're a dear true friend."

Per Us Weekly, Mortimer and Kluth first met in February 2017 during a televised blind date arranged by RHONY's Carole Radziwill. Eight months later, the pair temporarily broke up before reuniting in 2018. As The Sun reports, the former couple eventually got engaged in November 2019, and the following June, Tinsley Mortimer left the Real Housewives of New York City behind to start a new life with Scott Kluth in Chicago.
