Chrissy Teigen Has Some Thoughts About The End Of Kim And Kanye's Relationship

Kim Kardashian and Kayne West's split has been messy, to say the least. As ET reported, although the reality star filed for divorce in February 2021, it took until April for West to respond. There's an iron-clad prenup in place, of course, which thankfully neither party is contesting. Likewise, both are intent on keeping things as clean as possible for the sake of their kids. However, West is taking issue with the press allegedly taking his soon-to-be ex-wife's side, arguing he left her

We'll probably never know the truth, especially with the infamous Kardashian-Jenner press machine in full force, but suffice to say, although the divorce hasn't been acrimonious from a legal perspective, these two superstars are certainly fighting it out in the tabloids. Everybody has an opinion on what went wrong, who is at fault, and whether this means love is dead (it does). Wading into the ongoing argument is Chrissy Teigen, who's frequently established herself as the voice of reason.

Chrissy Teigenl believes Kim Kardashian tried her best

During a recent, virtual appearance on "Watch What Happens Live," Chrissy Teigen confirmed she's been in touch with Kim Kardashian since the breakup. The former model and cookbook author advised, "Kim is doing okay." Teigen also noted, in relation to where the couple went wrong, "I know Kim gave her all for everything." The "Cravings" author also admitted that, much like many fans watching at home, she figured Kimye, as they were lovingly known, was forever. Still, Teigen is adamant Kardashian "tried her best." When asked whether her husband, John Legend, had been in touch with Kanye West, the former model joked that it's tough to get a hold of him at the best of times since the rapper tends to "go off the grid."

Kardashian and West were married for almost seven years, with the rapper requesting joint legal and physical custody of their four children. Although things might seem testy in the press, an insider told People that the soon-to-be exes are "getting along" and remain focused on putting the kids first. The Skims founder reportedly seems happier with "every week that goes by," knowing in her heart divorce was the only option. The couple was struggling for a while, with Page Six advising West's doomed 2020 presidential run was the final straw for Kardashian. The rapper, meanwhile, was reportedly tired of dealing with her extended family, particularly controlling momager Kris Jenner, as Page Six also noted.
