How Danica Patrick's New Boyfriend Measures Up To Her Expectations

Professional racecar driver Danica Patrick is one of the most successful female drivers in NASCAR and Indycar history.

In 2008, Patrick became the first woman to ever win an IndyCar championship event and as of April 2021, she is still the only woman to ever cross the finish line first in an IndyCar Series race, (via Los Angeles Times). Since ending her racing career in 2018, Patrick has launched her podcast "Pretty Intense," which shares the same name as her book (via official website).

The same year Patrick launched her podcast, she also confirmed she was dating NFL star Aaron Rodgers, (via ESPN). According to Page Six, the pair split after two years together, leaving Patrick with very high expectations for her next partner. During an March 2021 appearance on "The Tamron Hall Show," per People, Patrick explained, "When you know what you don't want, you know what you do want."

She further added, "It's not necessarily that they have their work cut out for them, but that they're going to be an extremely high-quality person with a lot of boxes to check." Though she later walked back that statement saying, "It's not as though there are boxes to check, it's just that I know what I want now and I'm not willing to compromise, bend as much, right?"

Danica can spend hours on the couch with her new boyfriend

About a month after her appearance on "The Tamron Hall Show," Danica Patrick confirmed her new relationship with Freshly co-founder Carter Comstock on Instagram

She shared a photo of the CEO kissing her on the cheek and captioned it, "Beach workout are fun for one, but better with you." Since sharing her relationship status with the world, the podcast host has opened up about her new partner. Patrick told Extra, "We both love to travel and we're both super open-minded, and I had this sort of grand vision for finding someone I could just sit on the couch with and, like, have a glass of wine and just literally come up with any topic at all, simple or complicated."

She also added, "I just always imagined how great it would be to find someone to sit on the couch and talk with for hours, and that's just what we do." Judging by her excitement over her new man it seems as though Comstock checked off all of the racecar driver's boxes.
