The Truth About Drew Scott's Secret Wedding

Drew Scott married longtime love Linda Phan in a lavish wedding in Italy 2018. Scott, who cohosts "Property Brothers" with his twin brother Jonathan, met Phan at Toronto Fashion Week in 2010 and the couple got engaged six years later, according to People.

Per People, Scott and Phan swapped vows in Puglia, a town in Southern Italy, during an outdoor ceremony in front of more than 300 guests. Scott and his twin brother wore kilts made from the Scott family tartan, while the bride wore a gown made by Claire Pettibone and her 10 bridesmaids donned dresses in emerald green — one of Phan's favorite colors. The couple even surprised family and friends with a first dance choreographed by the groom's "Dancing with the Stars" partner, Emma Slater, and her husband, Sasha Farber. Another highlight was Jonathan's best man speech, which Scott shared a snippet of on YouTube.

"Though Drew and I look very much alike on the outside, we're two very different people on the inside," Jonathan said. "He's that guy that will just introduce himself to anybody, and my god am I happy that he walked up to that stranger at Fashion Week in 2010 and said hello ... She is the most caring, and genuine, and creative woman I think I have ever met. I love the fact that you found each other."

But fans might be surprised to learn that their Italian celebration was actually the second time Scott and Phan tied the knot.

Drew Scott and his wife had a secret ceremony before their wedding

While Drew Scott and Linda Phan had a wedding to remember in Italy, the couple recently revealed that they were already married before their big day. Since they were holding their wedding abroad, they needed to first make it legal in the United States. So Scott and Phan said "I do" during an intimate ceremony in Nashville, Tennessee.

"Instead of exchanging rings, we exchanged burgers, and we got married in a hot tub," Scott explained in a YouTube video. "And so, the justice of the peace came to us, and we were in the hot tub. We thought they were gonna be like, 'No, we can't do that.' But she was like, 'That's the coolest thing I've ever seen.'"

"Or the hottest thing," added Phan. Since both ceremonies, the two have been enjoying married life. It's no wonder, considering how committed the groom is to his bride. Scott even wrote an original song — "You Chose Me" — for their nuptials. "Linda is the most amazing woman I have ever met and I wanted to write a song to truly express how much I love her," he told TLC (via Country Living).
