Is This What First Brought Jennifer Lopez And Ben Affleck Back Together?

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have taken their reunion to the next level. The duo nicknamed "Bennifer" was once Hollywood's golden couple. The pair met in 2002 on the set of their movie "Gigli," and began dating a year later (via People). The couple was supposed to walk down the aisle in September 2003 but postponed their nuptials just days before the ceremony. In early 2004, Lopez and Affleck announced their split. Most recently, Lopez was engaged to former New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez. The couple called it quits in mid-April, and days later, Lopez and Affleck were spotted together.

Page Six reports that the pair were trying to keep their meetings under wraps by hanging out at JLo's house. Affleck was photographed visiting the actress' home when a white Escalade SUV belonging to Lopez picked him up. "Security picks him up at a nearby location and drops him off after spending a few hours at her house," a source told the outlet. The former flames made headlines yet again this week when it was revealed that they spent a week vacationing together in Montana, per E! News. "Ben reached out to her to see how she was doing and they had dinner together a few times within this last month. It's natural between them and the chemistry is unreal. They picked up where they last left off and are enjoying each other's company right now," an insider revealed. Now, new details about the couple's reunion are emerging.

Ben Affleck reportedly sent JLo love letters

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez have certainly seemed to rekindle their romance, and sources tell TMZ that it all started with some love letters. Insiders close to the actors tell the outlet that Affleck began sending Lopez sweet emails upon seeing photos of her in the Dominican Republic, where she was filming her new movie "Shotgun Wedding." Affleck allegedly wrote to Lopez telling her that she looked beautiful and that he wished he could be there to enjoy some time with her. Insiders claim that Lopez has always been a sucker for Affleck's writing, which she reportedly told him in her response to the emails. During this time, JLo was said to still be engaged to Alex Rodriguez. However, upon returning to the United States, Lopez announced her split with Rodriguez, and it was only a matter of days before she and Affleck were rumored to be back together.

Meanwhile, sources tell People Magazine that while the situation with Affleck may have happened fast, the "Hustlers" star is feeling good about spending time with him. "[Jennifer] spent several days with Ben out of town. They have a strong connection. It's all been quick and intense, but Jennifer is happy," the insider dished. "They are friends. They have always been friends and they have seen each other through the years," another source previously told the outlet. Currently, neither Jennifer Lopez nor Ben Affleck have spoken publicly about the reports of their rekindled relationship.
