Inside Elizabeth Gillies And Ariana Grande's Friendship

When "Victorious" came out in 2010, people were obsessed. From the clothes to the characters, everyone wanted to be in the show. And ever since the show, multiple people from the cast had their careers shot into superstardom. Most notably, Ariana Grande and Elizabeth Gillies.

Grande became a record-breaking singer with an insane amount of accolades and hit songs, (via Biography). And Gillies became the lead, Fallon Carrington, in the hit series, "Dynasty," (via IMDb). Grande played Cat Valentine on the show, while Gillies played Jade West, and the characters were not sympatico to say the least, (via NY Post). However, that wasn't the case in real life, because the pair are best friends to this day.

Now contrary to popular belief, the two actually met before "Victorious." Both were Broadway kids, and actually met while performing the musical "13," but "Victorious" is really what solidified their bond. During their time on the show, they lived together, got their driver's licenses together, and even did a bunch of livestreams throughout the years, (via The Things). In an interview with Teen Vogue, Grande said she loved living with Gillies, gushing, "I lived with Liz  for a while. She lived in my mom's house with me. It was so much fun!"

Elizabeth considers them to be sisters

After "Victorious" ended, their friendship only got started. Elizabeth Gillies has appeared in multiple of Ariana Grande's musical endeavors such as singing on her Christmas album and appearing in multiple iconic music videos like, "Thank U Next" and "Right There." Along with that, Grande brought Gillies on to perform their fan-favorite "Victorious" song, "Give It Up," in a show in Atlanta. And the internet lost it when they saw it. And Grande frequently visits Gillies on the set of "Dynasty," so they try to bring each other into their lives as much as possible (via The Things).

In a 2015 interview with People, Gillies said how she feels about her former castmate. "She's like blood to me, she's like my sister. So unless we have a massive falling out, nothing will be happening there."

As some fans may recall, they're actually a trio, with another "Victorious" co-star, Matt Bennett. The three hit it off and if you go on any of their Instagram profiles, they hang out as much as they can to this day. Who knows, maybe we'll get them all in a performance in the future?
