Barack Obama Speaks Out About UFO Sightings

Unidentified flying object sightings, also known as UFO sightings, are not a new phenomenon. Humans have reported these sightings since ancient times, according to History.com. In modern times, Americans and others around the world have wondered if the United States was keeping a secret alien population at a Nevada military base called Area 51.

Even in 2021, there are reports of UFO sightings from military members, and one Naval officer claimed it was a regular thing when interviewed by "60 Minutes" in May of 2021. In fact, former Navy pilot Ryan Graves claimed that seeing UFOs happened "every day for at least a couple of years." (via The Washington Post)

As of this writing, a report on UFOs from the U.S. government is expected to be released in June, according to The Washington Post. With so much talk of UFO sightings of late, it's no wonder the topic came up when former President Obama spoke to comedian James Corden on "The Late Late Show."

Barack Obama said a lot about UFOs without saying much

With his signature sense of humor, Obama remained as secretive as ever about the topic, while at the same time possibly giving away a bit of information. "When it comes to aliens, there are some things I just can't tell you on air," Obama told James Corden, according to The New York Post.

However, he did talk about his first days in the Oval Office and being as curious as anyone else on the subject. "I was like, 'All right, is there the lab somewhere where we're keeping the alien specimens and spaceships?' They did a little bit of research .... and the answer was 'No,'" he said.

Obama did eventually get serious about the subject during the interview, but apparently UFOs still remain a mystery for now. "What is true — and I'm actually being serious here — is that there's footage and records of objects in the skies that we don't know exactly what they are." (via The New York Post)
