The Truth About Demi Lovato And Taylor Swift's Friendship

Demi Lovato and Taylor Swift may be in a good place today but recently, their feud was rehashed due to an appearance Lovato made on Jameela Jamil's podcast, "I Weigh."

Following Lovato's episode, the "Good Place" actress faced backlash from fans of Swift who felt it wasn't right that Jamil invited the musician to her show, due to the recently claims of Lovato having slammed Swift's longtime best friend, Selena Gomez, through an allegedly secret Instagram page, which were made after Lovato confirmed they are no longer friends with Gomez.

"I'm not being dragged into celebrity feuds. I'm 34. I'm not involved in any of these dynamics. I don't care which of them dislike each other. I'm interviewing interesting humans sharing their unique mental health journeys that may help others to learn about," Jamil tweeted, via Refinery 29, in response to the backlash.

Lovato has also taken aim at Swift directly. As some may recall, Lovato appeared to take aim at a donation Swift made to Kesha in 2016 amid her legal battle with Dr. Luke by suggesting the gesture was insincere (via E! News).

Demi Lovato praised Taylor Swift's album Lover

Although Lovato and Swift have gone through ups and downs, they ended their feud in 2019 after Lovato applauded Swift's then-new album, "Lover."

As Pop Buzz explained, Lovato shared a post on their Instagram Stories in regard to Swift's album, labeling her single, "Cruel Summer," as a "jam." Lovato also posted an additional message on another Instagram Story in which they gave a nod to their past drama with Swift, saying, "Life's too short for women to not support other women.. Great job [Taylor Swift]."

In response to Lovato's kind gesture, Swift offered a quick response to her fellow musician by re-posting their message to her own Instagram Story and adding a personal message to her post. "This is so awesome [and] put the biggest smile on my face," Swift had written, also saying, "Thank you [Demi Lovato]."

Swift then added a couple of heart stickers and one of two cats hugging to further confirm there is no "bad blood" between them.
