Jersey Shore's The Situation Shares Exciting Family News
They've got a situation on their hands over at Mike Sorrentino's house! On Wednesday, May 26, the "Jersey Shore" star and his wife, Lauren Sorrentino, welcomed their first child, a son named Romeo Reign Sorrentino (via People). After resting and recuperating, the couple took to social media to share the news on Thursday, May 27.
Posting pictures from the hospital, the couple showed off their new baby, a shot of the family all together, and even more pictures of father, son, and new mom holding the little one. While the happy couple simply captioned their posts with Romeo's name, they also made an Instagram called "Baby Situation" for their son, where they shared a few more details, including the fact that he was born weighing 6 pounds, 8 ounces and measuring 19 inches long.
In the comments of his wife's post, The Situation even got a little emotional. "I'm not crying. You are," he wrote.
The whole Jersey Shore family is excited about the Baby Situation
Sorrentino and his wife first announced they were expecting back in November 2020. "We have a Baby Situation," he joked on Instagram at the time. In the months since, he and Lauren have kept fans updated on their son's account, sharing bump photos as Baby Sitch's due date approached. Now that Romeo is finally here, his larger "Jersey Shore" family is excited to welcome him to the crew.
JWOWW, Snooki, and DJ Pauly D all shared enthusiastic messages of love and support for the fam, and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro even playfully teased the new parents. Though Ortiz-Magro is leaving the show (via E! Online), it's clear he still thinks of Sorrentino as a sibling — and of Romeo as family, too. "Congratulations, brother," he wrote. "Send my love to Laurenzz!!! So happy he's [looking] like Laurenz and not you. Miss you, bro!!!"
Now that the newest addition to the "Jersey Shore" crew has made his debut, it's only a matter of time until he meets the full cast, including the other stars' kids. "Cameron can't wait to meet his bestie," co-star Deena Cortese commented on the post. We can't wait for them to meet either!
