Why Royal Expert Says Kate Middleton And Prince William Are Still Very Upset With Harry

Prince Harry's feud with his older brother, Prince William, has been going on for over two years, per Insider. Reports of a rift between the brothers first began to circulate in November 2018 after Harry and his wife Meghan Markle announced their plans to move out of Kensington Palace and split their household with that of William and his wife Kate Middleton.

In 2019, Harry and Meghan also opted to split the office they shared with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, as well as cut ties with the charity they shared. In January 2020, Harry and Meghan announced that they planned to step away from their royal duties altogether and eventually moved to California.

However, in March 2021, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex seemed to reignite the feud when they spoke out about the royals during a tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey (via USA Today). During the interview, Meghan admitted that she suffered from suicidal thoughts while pregnant with her son Archie. However, when she wanted to seek hospitalization, she was told it wouldn't look good for the family.

In addition, the couple claimed that members of the royal family made racially insensitive comments regarding the skin color of their son. Harry was also said to ruffle feathers when he claimed William felt trapped within the confines of the firm, a statement that William did not agree with, per Cosmopolitan. Now, one royal expert is revealing how William and Kate really feel about Harry.

William and Kate are still struggling with royal family rift

According to royal expert Lady Colin Campbell, Prince William and Kate Middleton are still struggling with their feelings about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as the rift in the royal family doesn't seem to be shrinking.

"Well, my understanding is the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are really upset about the way things have gone down,"  Campbell revealed on GB News, per Express. "They love Harry and they remember Harry as Harry was for the first 34 or whatever years of his life. This is a completely new Harry that everybody is dealing with. It's very sad for them and they're very upset about it."

While speaking of William during his interview with Oprah Winfrey, Harry admitted his feelings for his brother, noting, "As I've said before, I love William to bits. He's my brother. We've been through hell together. I mean, we have a shared experience. But we're on different paths."

Meanwhile, both William and Harry are expected to appear in the UK at the unveiling of a statue they had commissioned in honor of their late mother Princess Diana. The reunion is set to go down on July 1. However, Harry has yet to confirm his appearance at the event following the birth of his newborn daughter, Lilibet. A source said of the brothers' possible reunion, per OK!, "There is, of course, hope the memory of Diana can repair their relationship but that seems a long way off right now."
