The Truth About Gwen Stefani And Blake Shelton's Wedding

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are one of Hollywood's golden couples. The pair first met back in 2014 after Stefani signed on to become a coach on NBC's music competition series "The Voice" alongside Shelton (via Insider). Both Stefani and Shelton were coming off of splits, as the No Doubt singer and her husband Gavin Rossdale had recently called it quits and Shelton and his wife, Miranda Lambert, were also separating. By October 2015 the couple had sparked romance speculation with a flirty duet, and they became official just one month later.

In 2016, Shelton sweetly admitted that it was Stefani who "saved his life" following his divorce from Lambert. "It went from checking in on each other once a week through email ... to 'Hey here's my phone number if you ever want to text.' Next thing I know, I wake up and she's all I care about and I'm wondering if she feels the same about me," the "Austin" singer admitted, per Billboard.

Shelton and Stefani quickly became a fan-favorite celebrity couple as they collaborated together, and even teased each other while competing on "The Voice." Finally, in October 2020 the country music singer popped the question to his longtime love, who of course said yes. According to Page Six, Shelton proposed with a large solitaire diamond ring set on a platinum band. Now, after months of speculation about when and where the couple would finally walk down the aisle, we have our answer as the couple tied the knot over the holiday weekend.

Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are married

According to Page Six, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani are officially married. The pair reportedly tied the knot over the Fourth of July weekend in a small, intimate ceremony that took place at Shelton's beloved Oklahoma ranch. Sources revealed that the country music crooner even had a special chapel built in order to wed Stefani on the property. Some of the couple's closest friends and family members were spotted on the property as they prepared for the nuptials.

It seems that the wedding was everything the couple wanted it to be. Back in April, Stefani opened up about their plans for the big day, revealing that she wanted something fun and simple. "We're keeping it very simple. Really simple," Stefani told Seth Meyers, per Entertainment Tonight. "I think the guest list will not have a lot of musicians. It'll be like my mom and my dad. It's literally going to be just family. We are looking forward to that, though. It's going to be fun. We're going to make it really fun, but it's not going to be a big [event]. It's not like the queen and king are getting married or something like that," the singer added. Meanwhile, Shelton and Stefani have yet to publicly comment on their wedding. However, it seems likely that once they're ready, they'll open up about their special day.
