Inside David Arquette's Relationship With Christina McLarty

For readers of a certain age, and particularly "Scream" fans, David Arquette and Courteney Cox are OTP. Sadly, the couple divorced in 2013 after 12 years together, as TMZ confirmed at the time. They continue to happily co-parent daughter Coco, and Cox even showed up in her ex's meta-documentary "You Cannot Kill David Arquette," released in 2020 (via IMDb). Another major presence in the film, of course, was the beloved actor's current wife, Christina McLarty, who bears a striking resemblance to Cox.

Although Arquette and Cox were tabloid magnets throughout their time together, the "Never Been Kissed" star has kept his relationship with McLarty mostly under wraps. The two were initially linked back in 2011, following his initial split from Cox, with E! News advising Arquette had confirmed he was seeing the Entertainment Tonight reporter during an appearance on shock jock Howard Stern's radio show, while also noting he and Cox were firmly in the "friend zone." The couple is still going strong today.

David Arquette and Christina McLarty love their blended family

As E! News noted, back in 2011, actor David Arquette admitted he wasn't interested in playing the field following his high-profile divorce from Courteney Cox, noting he prefers to spend time with one person who "makes me feel good and that I can make feel good." Clearly, he found exactly that with the "adorable" Christina McLarty, an ex-partner of notorious "Girls Gone Wild" creator Joe Francis. The two reportedly met at a boat party over the previous summer, with the "Scream" star enthusing, "We try to see each other as much as possible."

The happy couple tied the knot after seeing each other on and off for several years at an intimate ceremony in April 2015. InStyle confirmed their son, Charlie, who was born the year before, attended alongside Coco and, naturally, the couple's dogs. They were engaged for 10 months after Arquette proposed at an oceanfront Malibu restaurant. "He is the love of my life and I love him and my family so much. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world!" McLarty gushed to Us Weekly at the time. A second baby followed in 2017, a son named Augustus, as Arquette excitedly confirmed on Instagram.

Their blended family is close, with Cox confirming in 2014 the foursome, including Coco, had recently enjoyed dinner together (via ABC News). Meanwhile, Arquette told Closer Weekly in 2019 fatherhood is everything to him, revealing, "it gives you a new perspective on life."
