When it comes to television, few characters are as powerful as Olivia Pope. Portrayed by Kerry Washington, Olivia Pope in Shonda Rhimes' "Scandal" is a powerhouse player in Washington D.C., with connections, resources, and the ability to get anything — and everything — done precisely how she wants it. In fact, around the airing of the series' finale, Vanity Fair wrote, "Viewers will certainly remember ... the sight of Olivia Pope storming into a room, immediately rendering everyone there powerless."

Her power was undebatable, and her fashion was in the same league as her sway. She's "an antihero in chic clothing" as described by Vanity Fair, and her looks acted as part of her story. Lest we not forget the symbol of the white hat and what it represented in this series (i.e. being a good guy, even if your methods aren't always "good," per The Artifice).

Fashion played such a strong role in "Scandal," and so did beauty products. The products used on Kerry Washington, or any other character, are crucial, as they're the things that actually bring the characters to life and convey to viewers what they need to know about these characters. So which products created everyone's favorite Shondaland antihero?

Kerry Washington's makeup artist used these products to create a glowing look for Olivia Pope

To create Olivia Pope in "Scandal," makeup artist Denise Hooper relied on classy makeup looks that could match the elegance and straightforward nature of Pope's wardrobe, which consisted of a lot of neutral color palettes and ample pantsuits (via Stylecaster). Kerry Washington's transformation, then, began with products like Armani's Luminous Silk Foundation, NARS' Blush in the shade Oasis, and NARS' Radiant Creamy Concealer, Hooper told Allure.

Once these products formed the base of Pope's makeup, Hooper would turn to her eyes, where she would use Kevyn Aucoin Beauty's The Volume Mascara. Once her eyes were done, Hooper would work on Pope's mouth, where she would use Clinique's Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm in the shade Whole Lotta Honey. This would make Pope's lips sweet, glossy, and a perfect match to the rest of her face. Hooper even spilled the deets on how she did Pope's nails. For these, she used CND's Shellac in the shade Cocoa.

If you want to look like Pope or just want to try new products, this is a great way to start. Olivia Pope was always stylish on "Scandal," and now you can glow just like her.
