Jinger Duggar And Jeremy Vuolo's Entire Relationship Timeline

The Duggar family is notorious for their fast-moving relationships. Due to their religious values, it is off-limits to kiss or even hold hands while in a courtship, according to Cheat Sheet. There is no such thing as dating someone casually if you are in the Duggar family. Every relationship should lead to marriage, hence the courtship title. Due to these strict rules, there is usually a marriage shortly following the official courtship announcement.

Jinger Duggar and her husband Jeremy Vuolo had to follow these strict rules. In fact, Vuolo was unsure he would even be able to marry Duggar due to her family's laundry list of requirements. One of those requirements included a 50-page questionnaire for Vuolo to fill out. He told Us Weekly, "I think it was a way for Mr. Duggar to get to know me," he said. "The questionnaire asks some pretty intensely personal questions ... You have to know who you are."

Vuolo took all of these rules and requirements in stride and the couple was married. Just how quickly did the relationship move? Here is the timeline of how it all went down.

They began courting in 2015

Vuolo met the Duggar family after befriending Jinger's brother-in-law, Ben Seewald, who had married Jessa Duggar the year prior. Vuolo was a professional soccer player, according to Hello! Magazine. This might seem like an unlikely match for a Duggar daughter, but as it turns out, he actually left the professional sports world to commit his life to ministry. This career path is much more on-brand for the Duggar gang.

After meeting through the Seewald's, Duggar and Vuolo's interests in each other blossomed during a mission trip to Central America. It was there that Vuolo did the deed and asked Jim Bob Duggar for permission to court his daughter, according to Romper.

The couple's courtship wasn't perfect. There was a lot of pressure placed on Vuolo by the Duggar family. He told Us Weekly, "...what I can say is there were a couple of ups and downs, and there was a moment where it did seem like the relationship was a no-go at that point. I just remember thinking one thing is I can't give up. I don't have the faith to give up."

They tied the knot in 2016

All of the intensity that came with courting a Duggar didn't derail the couple in the end. Everything worked out, and the pair were engaged less than a year after meeting. The couple announced their engagement in July of 2016, per CNN. The short-lived courtship turned into forever quickly! On the engagement, the couple told Us Weekly, "We are so grateful for how the Lord has brought us together. It has been an incredible journey so far and we are excited about serving Christ together in the coming days."

Things continued to move at a fast pace for Duggar and Vuolo. They tied the knot that same year. On November 5th, the pair married in Duggar's Arkansas hometown, per People. On her wedding day, the bride told the magazine, "I told the girls I need the bridesmaids to enter behind me because I thought I would collapse when I saw him."

It is a Duggar custom that the bride and groom do not kiss before their wedding day. When asked if she was nervous to plant her first smooch on her new husband, Duggar told the magazine, "I wasn't nervous at all. I couldn't wait for it. It's like he couldn't say it soon enough."

The pair became first time parents in 2018

Over a year had passed without a pregnancy announcement from the couple. Having a child immediately after tying the knot is usually how the Duggar family does things. Jinger decided to take it slow and enjoy time with her new husband before welcoming a child, unlike her sister Joy-Anna Duggar who announced her pregnancy less than two months after her wedding day (via People).

Duggar and Vuolo announced they were expecting their first child in April of 2018 (via Us Weekly). Their daughter, Felicity, was born in July of 2018. On the birth of his daughter, Vuolo told the magazine, "Felicity weighs 8 lbs and 3 oz, and is 19.5 inches long. Both mom and baby are healthy, doing great, and resting well. We are very thankful for her safe arrival and look forward to life as parents!"

The new parents welcomed their daughter away from their families in Loredo, Texas, according to People, though many of the Duggar family members made their way to Texas for the birth.

They welcomed their second daughter in 2020

After making their way from Texas to Los Angeles, California, the pair announced they were expecting their second child in May of 2020 (via US Weekly). This announcement was hard to make as it came with opening up about a miscarriage the family suffered the year prior. Duggar called the loss of her pregnancy their greatest trial.

There was sunshine on the horizon for the Vuolo family, though. In November of 2020, the couple welcomed their second child. They had another daughter and named her Evangeline Jo, per People

The couple revealed they had chosen the name as Evangeline meant "good news," while Jo was a nod to Vuolo's middle name, Joseph, according to Today. They shared, "As for Felicity, she is in love with her little sister but has no idea how much sharing is in her future. We are so grateful to God for this beautiful gift!"

The pair are still together and going strong. Recently, fans have been throwing around rumors of divorce (via Distractify). However, a source told The Sun, "They have been juggling a lot with a new baby, their lifestyle brand and releasing books, all in the middle of a pandemic, they feel a bit overwhelmed and their relationship has suffered. They are still very much in love and divorce is not on the cards, they just want to work through things and come out of this difficult period together and stronger as a family." So there you have it!
