She said, "It's been a dream of ours to do this for a long time." "Candy Coated Christmas" is set to stream on Discovery+ and will tell the story of an aspiring entrepreneur who is forced to abandon her business plans because of unexpected circumstances. The young woman is forced to return to her mother's home, where she meets the local village baker, played by Drummond.

This role was written specifically for Drummond and is crafted to enhance her cheery persona and highlight her impressive cooking skills. Finch said, "Ree is the epitome of a female-skewing Food Network talent. We put her and all these fun ideas into a pot and came up with this fun idea." Drummond is equally excited about the project.
