What Melora Hardin Has Been Doing Since The Office
Actress Melora Hardin is best known for her role as Jan on "The Office." The character was the on-again, off-again girlfriend of Dunder Mifflin boss Michael Scott (played by Steve Carell), and offered up a ton of laughs to fans who loved watching Michael and Jan's toxic romance play out on the small screen.
In January 2020, Hardin sat down to reminisce about her time on the show during an interview with "The Office Ladies" podcast, hosted by former stars of the show Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey, per Mashable. "When we were filming the pilot I remember sitting at the tables with Greg Daniels and Steve Carell and we were all laughing at kind of how weirdly interesting Jan and Michael were together," she said. "We sort of were like, well, yeah that's funny. If we get a pick-up and we get an opportunity to do more of the show than just the six [episodes] that we were doing ... our first season, then it'll be fun. We should have them hook up," she added.
Although Jan wasn't a full-time character on the series, she did offer up a few unforgettable moments, including the fan favorite episode "Dinner Party," in which she and Michael hosted two other couples at their condo and things went terribly wrong (via Showbiz CheatSheet). While Hardin may be best remembered for playing Jan on the show, she's also been in a lot of other projects since that time.

According to The Things, Melora Hardin won over fans while playing the character of Jan on "The Office." However, she can also be seen in many other roles. The actress previously starred alongside Zac Efron and Matthew Perry in the film "17 Again" when she portrayed the character of high school principal Jane Masterson. She also won the role of Lorelai in the "Hannah Montana" movie.
In addition to her movie career, Hardin has also appeared on many different television shows since "The Office" ended its run in 2013. She had a recurring role on "The Blacklist" back in 2017 starring with another "Office" alum, James Spader. She also played the character, Tammy Cashman, in "Transparent." However, the actress' most recent gigs include playing the character of Patricia Bloom on the fan favorite series "A Million Little Things" and portraying Jacqueline Carlyle on Freeform's "The Bold Type" from 2017 to 2021 (via IMDb).
In September 2021, it was announced that Hardin would be trying her hand at reality TV when she was revealed as a cast member for Season 30 of "Dancing With The Stars." Fans are now rooting for "The Office" actress as she competes for the mirror ball trophy.
