The Former Dancing With The Stars Winner Who Reached Out To Help Amanda Kloots

The historic 30th season of the hit competitions series "Dancing With the Stars" boasts an especially impressive cast. This year's competitors include teen sensation JoJo Siwa, Spice Girls star Melanie C, basketball legend Iman Shumpert, and many more major celebrities. One of the most exciting contestants is "The Talk" co-host Amanda Kloots (via People). For Kloots, "DWTS" is more than just a fun competition. She said during the series premiere, "I grew up dancing, I did Broadway for 17 years and then everything that happened to me, the pandemic and losing my husband, this opportunity is kind of a way to find myself again and to feel his presence every day."

Kloots lost her husband, Nick Cordero, on July 5, 2020 to the COVID-19 virus. While the grieving process is never easy, Kloots is fortunate enough to have her dance partner, Alan Bersten, to lean on. The former Radio City Rockette revealed to Us Weekly that she also has the support of a former "DWTS" winner.

Hannah Brown has Amanda Kloots' back

Following the premiere of Season 30 of "Dancing With the Stars," Amanda Kloots and her dance partner, Alan Bersten, spoke with Us Weekly about the competition. The pair mentioned that Bersten's former dance partner, Hannah Brown, was in the audience that night. Though Brown was sitting with contestant Matt James' family, she's also team Bersten and Kloots. The "DWTS" pro said, "I got to see her after the show. It's so fun to have her back in the ballroom. She loves Amanda from before everything — she has her jump rope! I'm sure they're going to talk a lot of trash about me! It's so great to have her here."

Kloots added that she's bonded with Brown since joining the show. She joked, "Hannah told me if I need to call her to vent, I can." While Bersten has already proven he is a great dance partner who has the potential to take his team all the way to the finale, it's natural to expect moments of tension between the pairs. The pros and contestants spend many hours in the practice room, pushing their bodies to new limits. Considering Kloots' high scores on night one and night two of the competition (via Entertainment Tonight), she should have many more weeks with Bersten ahead of her.
