Soap Star Michael Tylo's Net Worth At The Time Of His Death Might Surprise You

The New York Post reports that "Young and the Restless" soap star Michael Tylo died on Tuesday, September 28. Deadline states that the cause of death of the 73-year-old actor has not yet been disclosed.

The versatile actor started in daytime soaps in 1980 with a temporary role on "Another World." Tylo went on to star on other soap operas, including "General Hospital," "All My Children," and "The Bold and the Beautiful," although he is best known for his 16-year stint as the leading man, Quinton McCord Chamberlain on "Guiding Light."  

Tylo did not only appear on daytime TV, but Deadline also reports that he broke into primetime in the late 80's starring on shows including "Lonesome Dove," "A Man Called Hawk," and "Zorro." More recently, he has been the voice of the character Deathstroke in the 2014 miniseries "Nightwing."

In addition to acting on television, Michael Tylo also shined on the silver screen. He starred in movies such as the "Intrepid," "Longshot," and "Stealing Las Vegas."

Tylo also worked as more than an actor. In 2003, he began as a visiting teacher and film professor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and eventually became the assistant dean for the College of Fine Arts, as per a statement released by UNLV. Dean Nancy Uscher of the UNLV College of Fine Arts shared in the statement, "Michael Tylo was a beautiful and caring human being — he was so special. He was an exemplary friend, colleague, teacher, and artist. He had such a distinguished and rich career, but he was humble about his accomplishments."

Just as we don't know the cause of death, we also do not know the net worth of Michael Tylo. Idol Net Worth reports the multi-talented actor was worth $13 million and All Famous Birthday reports Tylo was worth $1.5 million. Buzz Learn shares he was worth between $1 and $5 million.
