Lindsay Lohan Shares Details About Her New Job

Lindsay Lohan is looking forward to her next career move. After launching her acting career at the age of 11, Lohan went on to star in popular movies including "Mean Girls," "Freaky Friday," and "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen" (via IMDb). But in recent years, she has spent less time acting, instead focusing on business endeavors such as lines of clothing and jewelry, a production company, and a nightclub. While she starred in her own reality show, "Lindsay Lohan's Beach Club," which followed her working to open a beachfront club in Greece (via BuzzFeed), Lohan has managed to keep a relatively low profile, even moving to Dubai to escape the paparazzi.

As she explained to W Magazine in 2018, "There's a certain calmness that I find there. There's no paparazzi, no cameras; that's a big deal for me," adding, "I never considered people taking a picture 'bothering' me, but I don't want people to misinterpret who I am as a person if they see me sneezing and they say I'm crying. I do really appreciate having the life where I can just go outside and not have to worry."

But on New Year's Eve 2019, she revealed to Anderson Cooper that she was ready to "come back to America and start filming again," and "taking back the life that I worked so hard for, and sharing it with my family and you guys" (via Twitter). And now Lohan is doing just that with two new projects.

Lindsay Lohan wants to connect with fans on her new podcast

Lindsay Lohan is making a return to public life with the launch of her podcast. She announced that she has signed a deal with media company Studio 71 for the show, which is expected to premiere later this year or early 2022. Jeannie Mai and Bob Saget also host podcasts with the company. "I'm excited to partner with Studio 71 in the development and production of my podcast," wrote Lohan (via People). "I'm looking forward to connecting more with my fans and having intimate conversations with thought leaders and friends across all industries."

In addition to her podcast duties, Lohan has also landed a new acting role. She's set to star in a Netflix holiday film, playing "a newly engaged and spoiled hotel heiress who finds herself in the care of a handsome, blue-collar lodge owner and his precocious daughter after getting total amnesia in a skiing accident." No word on the title of the movie or when it will premiere on the streaming service, but since it won't start filming until November 2021, it likely won't be seen until the end of 2022 (via Variety).
