What Tiger Woods' Ex Is Up To These Days

While celebrity cheating scandals have sadly become par for the course, in 2009, the world was shocked to learn that golf champ Tiger Woods was a serial cheater who admitted to having numerous affairs while married to Elin Nordegren.

This came shortly after a single-car accident involving Woods' Escalade and a fire hydrant, along with Nordegren smashing in the rear window of the car with a golf club post-accident. In the months that followed the incident, all eyes were on Woods and Nordegren to see how the couple, and Woods' sponsors, would respond to the revelations that followed.

Just months after the November 2009 car accident that set off a series of revelations about Woods' infidelity, the couple divorced in the summer of 2010. But the Swedish-born former nanny and model, who reportedly received over $100 million in the divorce settlement, has since made peace with the situation. Let's take a look at what Tiger Woods' ex has been up to.

Tiger Woods' ex Elin Nordegren went silent for four years

Reports that Tiger Woods had cheated with upward of 120 women left Elin Nordegren "totally devastated," sources revealed to People in 2010. In fact, she was so hurt by the scandal that she stayed silent on the topic for years. At the time, there were questions about whether Nordegren's divorce settlement required her to stay mum about the couple's history, but apparently that wasn't the case.

Tiger Woods' ex Elin Nordegren finally broke her silence in a 2014 interview with People, during which she admitted to undergoing "intensive therapy" and still checks in with her therapist every week. "In the beginning, you tamp down the animosity for the kids' sake," Nordegren told the magazine. "I'm not going to deny that I went through the wringer."

She has both beauty and brains

After attending night classes since 2005, Tiger Woods' ex Elin Nordegren graduated from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida in 2014, where she received the Outstanding Senior Award in psychology. According to the Orlando Sentinel, a group of the school's faculty gave her for the award because she earned a 3.96 GPA.

"I want to continue to study and learn, but I am not exactly sure how yet. My passion has always been psychology, but my interests continue to broaden," she told the newspaper in 2014, adding that she wasn't involved in campus life. "I was always a little too old for the frat parties."

Nordegren was selected to speak at her graduation, during which she made a few lighthearted jabs about her divorce from Woods and the media's obsession with the scandal. "When I entered my student advisor office in the fall of 2005, I was 25 years old, I had just recently moved to America, I was married without children," she said (via Us Weekly). "Today, nine years later, I'm a proud American, and I have two beautiful children — but I'm no longer married."

Her quips continued. "It was right after I had taken [a class in] communications and the media that I was unexpectedly thrust into the media limelight," she said. "I probably should have taken more notes in that class!"

Elin Nordegren reportedly hated Tiger Woods' ex-girlfriend Lindsey Vonn

Even though Tiger Woods cheated on her with multiple women, Elin Nordegren allegedly had a tough time when Woods moved on from their divorce. Case in point: the Swedish beauty was allegedly furious when Woods started dating Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn in 2013.

"(Elin) hates Lindsey Vonn and everything about this romance," a source told Us Weekly about Tiger Woods' ex. According to the magazine, things were so strained between Vonn and Nordegren that she didn't want Woods to have visitation rights with his kids. Things didn't change much between the two ladies even after Woods (a self-proclaimed sex addict) and Vonn ended their relationship in 2015 after he allegedly cheated on her as well.

In 2016, Page Six reported that event organizers were asked to seat Vonn and Nordegren apart at a party during the Kentucky Derby. "The staff was being told over a walkie-talkie that Lindsey was on her way over and must be put in a different area from Elin," a source told the tabloid. As they say, old feuds die hard.

Elin Nordegren moved on as well

Tiger Woods' ex Elin Nordegren used part of her reported $100 million divorce settlement to construct a mansion in North Palm Beach, Florida, according to People. The beach-side home, which has nine bedrooms, a home theater, a mini-golf course, and a lavish pool, has plenty of space for her two children: daughter Sam, who was born in 2007, and son Charlie, who was born in 2009, just months before the infidelity scandal rocked the sports and celebrity worlds.

The Daily Mail reported that Nordegren bought the original property for $12 million, but had the house demolished and rebuilt because it was "riddled with rot." The Daily Mail also reported that the charitable mom-of-two asked Habitat for Humanity if they wanted to salvage anything from the property before it was torn down.

It seems Nordegren has quite the fondness for the finer things in life. She was linked to billionaire and coal tycoon Chris Cline. The on-again, off-again couple, who split in 2014 after a year of dating, were spotted smacking lips on the ski slopes in St. Moritz, Switzerland in March 2016. Fun fact: Cline was worth $1.8 billion and owned multiple coal mines and a luxury yacht named Mine Games.

Well, that's one way to bounce back from a nasty divorce.

Tiger Woods' ex Elin Nordegren made up with the famous golfer

Tiger Woods, a serial cheater who admitted he had affairs with numerous women while married to Elin Nordegren, told Time magazine that his ex-wife is one of his "best friends." He elaborated on that when he appeared as a guest on "The Late Show" in 2016 (via HuffPost), and host Stephen Colbert questioned how that was possible considering, well, you know, how it ended. "It becomes two simple things, okay? We have Sam and we have Charlie. And we love them so much that we are going to whatever it takes to make that work. That's how it happened," Woods told Colbert.

And it seems Tiger Woods' ex Elin Nordegren feels the same. "I have moved on and I am in a good place, " she told People in 2014. "My relationship with Tiger is centered around our children and we are doing really good — we really are — and I am so happy that this is the case, he is a great father."

Elin Nordegren has worked hard on communication with the athlete

Despite the fallout from Tiger Woods' cheating scandal, the golfer and Tiger Woods' ex Elin Nordegren have managed to find new ways of improving their relationship, which all came down to communication.

"In hindsight, it's not how I would change 2009 and how it all came about. It would be having a more open, honest relationship with my ex-wife," Woods told Time in 2015. "Having the relationship that I have now with her is fantastic. ... We're able to pick up the phone, and we talk to each other all the time. We both know that the most important things in our lives are our kids. I wish I would have known that back then."

"When it comes down to it, right down to it, it's just having a more open, honest relationship with my ex-wife when we were married," Woods added. "Our frustrations would have come out if we had talked about it and been open and honest with each other. Which we are now, and it's absolutely fantastic."

Did Tiger Woods' ex date Gavin Rossdale?

In August 2016, Us Weekly reported that Tiger Woods' ex Elin Nordegren had gone out on a first date with Bush rocker Gavin Rossdale, who, at the time, was still reeling from his divorce from singer Gwen Stefani. Details on the rumored date, which happened in Los Angeles, were scarce; however, Us Weekly alleged it went so well that the pair wanted to make things work.

Rossdale eventually cleared up the rumors in March 2017, telling The Sun that he had been texting with Nordegren but had not actually met her. "A friend was, like, 'You have to meet Elin. She's amazing.' He was trying to connect us," Rossdale said. "So I texted her a couple of times to say hello. She lives in Florida. She's a really great girl. But I've never met her."

She had a brush with the law

The notoriously private Elin Nordegren popped up in the news for the first time in a while in March 2017, and it wasn't good. The Miami Herald reported that she was pulled over for speeding in the Palm Beach County city of Riviera Beach. She was reportedly going 57 mph in a 35 mph zone at 9:40 a.m., and she got a $281 fine.

This wasn't the first speeding ticket Tiger Woods' ex Elin Nordegren had ever received, as the Herald reported that she "was caught driving 9 mph over the speed limit in North Palm Beach in 2012 and elected to attend driving school."

The March 2017 speeding ticket happened just months before her ex-husband Tiger Woods made international headlines again after falling asleep at the wheel and getting arrested for a DUI

She decided to downsize

In March 2018, Tiger Woods' ex Elin Nordegren made the decision put her North Palm Beach, Florida mansion on the market. A spokesman for Nordegren told The Wall Street Journal that she simply decided to downsize. Can you blame her?

The custom-built estate, while undeniably gorgeous, is over 10 times the size of the average new-construction house in the United States. It features 11 bedrooms, 15 full bathrooms, and three half bathrooms — all on over an acre of beachfront. And that's just the main house. Nordegren's sprawling estate also houses a separate cabana house, complete with a bar and summer kitchen, and a separate guesthouse split into two apartments.

As a single mother, you can imagine how few rooms were actually used. Despite being phenomenally decorated by Angela Reynolds, a celebrity interior designer, you have to wonder if the home felt more cavernous than cozy most of the time.

According to the New York Post, the palatial North Palm Beach estate was sold at a slashed price of $29 million in September 2020.

Elin Nordegren also sold her condo

Just two months after listing her nearly $50 million estate, Tiger Woods' ex Elin Nordegren also parted ways with her condominium in Juno Beach, Florida, according to The Blast

Nordegren allegedly purchased the condo not long after her relationship with Tiger Woods came to an end in 2011. At the time, she was said to have paid close to $1.1 million for the 1,866-square-foot home. Although Nordegren's spokesman said she decided to sell her much, much larger estate in an effort to downsize to a smaller home, this two-bedroom, three-and-a-half-bathroom property apparently wasn't the one she had in mind.

In 2017, Nordegren attempted to turn a big profit on the condo, setting her original sale price to $2.4 million. Even after knocking $200,000 off the price, she was still unable to negotiate a sale, The Blast reported. By May 2018, Nordegren finally sold the condo for over $1.9 million and profited a whopping $855,000. Not exactly chump change, to be sure.

Tiger Woods' ex went back to school

Although Elin Nordegren leads a considerably private life, she's not a "woman with no words," as she said — and proved — during her commencement speech in 2014. And just because she is without a public online presence that doesn't mean she's not doing things or going places. In fact, Nordegren's spokesman revealed some exciting details about his client and former wife of pro-golfer Tiger Woods. While Woods was prepping for the Masters, Nordegren, too, was working toward her master's — albeit a much different kind.

After graduating from Rollins College in 2014, Nordegren made the decision to continue her education. According to her rep in 2018, she was on track to get her master's degree in psychology that May (via The Wall Street Journal). Sound like it's very possible that she's closer to realizing her lifelong dream: to become a child psychologist, as per her biography. We can't wait to see what she takes on in the future!

She is still a speed demon on the road

We all have our vices. Elin Nordegren's just happens to be speeding, apparently. On Super Bowl Sunday 2018, TMZ reported that police ticketed Tiger Woods' ex in her 2015 Cadillac for going 95 miles per hour on a 65-mile-per-hour stretch of Florida highway. Officials told TMZ that her speed was captured by the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) via a single-engine airplane. Um, what? Yes, it's a thing.

"It's just one more method that we use to assure that people obey and respect the speed limits on our state roads," FHP spokesman Joe Sanchez told NBC Miami. The pilot of the aircraft assesses the speed with a calibrated stopwatch, informs a trooper on the ground, and — bam! Ticket time.

On February 4, 2018, Nordegren was fined $356, according to TMZ. The Blast further reported that Nordegren's attorney pleaded "no contest" in a later court hearing, but the judge allegedly ordered Nordegren to attend Driver Improvement School. This would be Nordegren's second time having to go back to driving school.

She officially gave up this glamorous career

Shortly before she and Tiger Woods met, Elin Nordegren was reportedly working at a clothing store in Stockholm, Sweden. It was there that she would meet Mia Parnevik, the wife of pro-golfer Jesper Parvenik. Nordegren left the store to become a nanny for the couple's children in Florida, and, eventually, she would go on to meet Woods.

Before leaving Sweden, however, Tiger Woods' ex caught the eye of famous photographer Bingo Rimer. In the year 2000, a bikini-clad Nordegren posed for the cover of a Swedish magazine. Since then, though, she hasn't been spotted modeling. The Swedish-born star is often credited as a model and as a former model — so, which is it?

Nordegren's spokesman cleared up matters once and for all when speaking to The Wall Street Journal, saying that she is "no longer modeling." After receiving an alleged $100 million divorce settlement, Nordegren wouldn't exactly have to go back to nannying or modeling, let alone any career — unless, of course, she wanted to.

Elin Nordegren and Tiger Woods continue to 'get along really well'

Elin Nordegren has not commented publicly on her relationship with Tiger Woods since her interview with People back in 2014. But no news is good news, right? According to Nordegren's comments back then, everything was on the up and up and, although she may be remaining mum now, a friend of Woods says things between the couple are still just fine.

"They're friends now," People reported Woods' friend as saying in April 2018. "Everything that happened in the past is in the past. They both decided to be adults and to do what was best for the kids." The insider also claimed that Woods only has nice things to say about his ex-wife, noting that he "never complains about her, ever" and, instead, uses "glowing terms" to describe Nordegren.

The source also said the two are actually closer these days than they were back when they were married. He told the publication, "They get along really well." Some nine years after news of the cheating scandal broke, who would've thought Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren could end up on such peaceful terms?

In 2019, her former boyfriend died in a helicopter crash

Although Elin Nordegren's relationship with billionaire Chris Cline has been over for some time — the on-again, off-again romance finally fizzled for good in 2017 – it was significant while it lasted, according to People. "Elin was impressed with him from the beginning and eventually fell in love with him," one source told the magazine. They also said the Cline was crazy about Nordegren in return, but he had responsibilities and needed his privacy. Perhaps that's why it didn't work out in the end?

Sadly, if any romantic reconciliation was in the cards for the future, or even just a friendship, Cline tragically died in a helicopter accident in 2019, as reported by People. He, along with his daughter Kameron, were among the seven people killed when the helicopter they were in plummeted into the water shortly after taking off from the Bahamas.

Tiger Woods' ex Elin Nordegren wasn't able to attend the funeral as she was in Sweden at the time, but Radar Online reported that she called the family to let them know she couldn't make it.

Elin Nordegren got pregnant a third time

In June of 2019, news broke that Elin Nordegren was expecting her third child, according to Radar Online. In pictures released by the publication at the time, the former model can be seen debuting her baby bump while attending son Charlie's flag football game. Not only had Nordegren's pregnancy been under wraps for some time, but so has her relationship with former Miami Dolphins tight-end Jordan Cameron

According to a later Radar Online report, a source alleged that the couple had been dating for "over a year" when the news broke of Nordegren's pregnancy and relationship with the retired NFL star. "They met through mutual friends in Florida," the anonymous source is quoted as saying. Cameron, who is nine years Nordegren's junior, moved in with Tiger Woods' ex in early 2019. From the looks of it, things got pretty serious for the couple rather quickly — but when you know, you know, right?

She welcomed her third child in 2019

Just as Radar Online broke the news that Elin Nordegren was pregnant for a third time, they also managed to snag the first photos of the baby after he was born. The magazine spied Nordegren and Jordan Cameron with their newborn at a soccer tournament not far from their Florida home. The little one looks especially tiny in Cameron's meaty football player arms!

Interestingly enough, the name that was inked onto the baby's birth certificate wasn't going to be his legal name anymore, according to an article in The Sun. That's because Tiger Woods' ex Elin Nordegren and Jordan Cameron petitioned a judge to change it from Filip Nordegren Cameron to Arthur Nordegren Cameron in December of 2019, several months after he was born. And while the judge approved the motion, it's unclear as to why the couple decided to change the baby's moniker.

Besides Little Arthur, Nordegren and Cameron's blended family also includes her two children with Tiger Woods and his son from a previous relationship.

Tiger Woods' ex Elin Nordegren is working quietly away from the spotlight

Plenty of people would propel their moment in the spotlight, regardless of context, into a further 15 minutes of fame, but Elin Nordegren took her massive divorce settlement and dipped out. According to The U.S. Sun, as of February 2020, despite being awarded a whopping $100 million in her divorce from Tiger Woods, Nordegren is happily working away as a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern. The busy working mother received her license to practice in September 2018, and it's valid through September 2023. Likewise, Nordegren registered her business, EN Therapy, LLC, on November 2, 2018, and filed an annual financial report the following February.

EN Therapy, LLC is reportedly run out of an unassuming apartment complex.

In her commencement speech when graduating from Rollins College, she notably enthused, "My Psychology and Law class helped me through some of the most challenging times in my life that involved legal matters."

Elin Nordegren ensured the kids spent time with Tiger Woods after his car accident

In 2021, Tiger Woods was involved in a terrifying single-vehicle rollover car crash, per Us Weekly. Thankfully, in the wake of the incident, the pro-golfer was able to recuperate alongside his beloved children. An insider told People his ex Elin Nordegren was "incredible" about letting them spend some additional quality time with Woods. "He sees the kids a lot," the source confirmed. "Maybe not every day, but almost every day. A lot of that is because of Elin, who is just amazing. ... She has bent over backwards to make sure that he can see the kids while he recovers from his injuries."

Woods underwent emergency surgery after suffering significant injuries in the collision, ultimately spending close to three weeks in the hospital. Thankfully, he recuperated well after returning home, with an insider confirming the beloved athlete was "in good spirits." In fact, the initial source pointed out his ability to see the children as much as possible really helped Woods recover. Clarifying the matter further, they also confirmed, "There's very little jealousy over who gets to spend what time with the kids."

She still struggles to co-parent with the pro-golfer

Although exes Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren mostly co-parent without incident, they don't see eye to eye on everything. As an insider revealed to OK! magazine, the golf icon is coaching their son, Charlie, to follow in his impressive footsteps. The father-son duo played together during the PNC Championship, in December 2021, placing second overall. According to a source, "Tiger thinks it would be great for Charlie to have a destiny like his." However, they clarified, "Tiger isn't trying to be pushy, he's just proud of his son and sees a lot of potential in him."

As far as Nordegren is concerned, though, there's more to life than golf. She's reportedly worried Woods is putting too much pressure on Charlie to focus on training at the expense of everything else in his life. As a result, the exes were reportedly "clashing" over how best to nurture their son's burgeoning talent. In particular, Nordegren is allegedly adamant Woods not act as a "dad-ager" to Charlie because she's worried about "suffocating" him. However, Nordegren won't stand in the way of his career, conceding that it all comes down to what Charlie wants for himself.

She bought a stunning new family home

Per The Sun, after selling her stunning $50 million oceanfront property, Elin Nordegren relocated to an equally gorgeous family home in March 2021. The property, boasting six beds and nine baths, is located on two acres in the Old Palm Golf Club, an exclusive gated community, and boasts both lake and golf course views. The impressive home also includes a huge backyard, equipped with a pool and private spa, while inside there's a gym, office, and even a media room. There's also a glass wine room as part of the significant kitchen space. Nordegren's new spot is even a smart home, with everything easily controlled by tablet or cellphone.

There are also four spacious garages, along with a one-bed apartment on the property with its own a kitchen, living room, and more.

The beautiful new place set her back just under $10 million.
