The Truth About Jessica And Austin From Married At First Sight

If you've seen an episode of Lifetime's "Married At First Sight," you know how it works. Optimistic singles talk to a team of experts in hopes of having their perfect match selected for them from a pool of eligible bachelors and bachelorettes. Once the couples are matched, the series follows their journey from wedding planning and walking down the aisle, to moving in together and merging lives (via Lifetime). According to Distractify, the show has a success rate of approximately 30%, but participants are willing to take the gamble on a happily ever after. While many couples don't remain married, some seem to be a perfect match. Among those are Austin Hurd and Jessica Studer, fan favorites from Season 10 of the show (via People).

Ohio native Studer had no idea what she was in for when she met her new husband, Hurd, of Maryland, at the altar. Both were looking for a marriage built to last, according to Lifetime. While their interactions were far less versatile than their castmates at times, the two did have their fair share of issues. Hurd felt unable to tell his new wife "I love you" for quite some time, and Studer didn't love how often work required her husband to leave town. Nevertheless, they persisted and chose to stay married on Decision Day, the day on which cast members meet with the experts and decide whether or not to continue their marriage. Following the show, fans have wondered how the couple is doing.

Two's company, three's a family

Studer enjoyed her pregnancy alongside her twin sister who is also expecting a baby this year, according to Us Magazine. Fans were elated to find out that Studer gave birth on November 3, 2021 to a baby boy named Paul Westin Hurd. The infant weighed 7 pounds, 12 ounces at birth and measured 20 inches in length.
