During An Argument About Meghan, Prince Harry Reportedly Said This To Prince William

The feud between Prince William and his younger brother, Prince Harry, has been dominating headlines for years. The royals have been said to have a strained relationship for many reasons, and things went from bad to worse when Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, opted to exit the royal family in early 2020.

According to Express, the bad blood between the princes is particularly difficult for Queen Elizabeth. "It must be upsetting to the queen to see that in her family, that two boys that grew up together, they played soldiers together, they had their treehouse at Highgrove together and learned to fly together," royal photographer Arthur Edwards told the outlet. "They flew helicopters together and now they're not even talking to each other."

Edwards went on to reveal that it will likely fall upon Harry's shoulders to mend fences with his brother and the rest of the royals. "I don't know what he's got to do to make it right. But it's got to come from him and it's got to come from him in a big way. And from Meghan," he said. "I think it's possible you can change any situation if you really both want to."

There's a new book out that sheds light on William and Harry's feud and posits that it may have started due to Harry's relationship with Meghan.

A new book details William and Harry's argument about Meghan

According to Page Six, the book, "Brothers and Wives: Inside the Private Lives of William, Kate, Harry and Meghan," explores the brothers' feud and claims that the disagreement may have begun when William voiced his concerns about Harry's fast-moving romance with Meghan Markle.

The Christopher Andersen book suggests that William questioned his younger brother about the relationship, which led to an argument. Harry fired back: "Who the hell do you think you are?"

The book also alleges that the fallout between William and Harry worsened when their uncle Earl Spencer agreed that the Duke of Sussex should slow things down with Meghan, revealing that Harry was "furious that his brother was actively seeking to have others interfere in his personal affairs."

Released on November 30, 2021, the book also touched on William and Kate Middleton's feelings about Harry's marriage. According to Andersen, William and Kate "wanted a proper English rose" for Harry and were concerned about the negative headlines surrounding Meghan and her family (via Page Six).

Harry later feared how William would react to meeting Meghan

After learning that his brother, Prince William, was hesitant about his burgeoning romance with Meghan Markle, Prince Harry then worried about how those in his circle would react to meeting her in person, according to the new book "Brothers and Wives: Inside the Private Lives of William, Kate, Harry and Meghan."

In fact, Harry was said to become "angry" at anyone he thought might not approve of Meghan — but, again, his older brother's opinion remained of great concern, Page Six reports. Harry knew his brother could be "very stiff" and feared he would think Meghan was nothing but an opportunist.

Christopher Anderson's book explains that both William and Kate Middleton listened to the warnings from Meghan's half-siblings, Thomas Markle Jr. and Samantha Markle, that adding Meghan to the royal family would prove to ultimately be detrimental to the British monarchy.

Harry left England behind but can't leave his family behind forever

It seems that the story ends with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle choosing to make a fresh start in the wealthy Southern California town of Montecito. After all, they have a new home; a new child, Lilibet Diana; and an agenda, speaking out against climate change (via People). Meghan has also lobbied Congress to include universal paid family leave in President Joe Biden's Build Back Better plan (via Vogue).

However, when family duty called from across the pond, Harry was on a plane back home. He first returned to England for his grandfather Prince Philip's funeral in April 2021 and visited again in July for the unveiling of Princess Diana's statue to honor what would have been her 60th birthday (via CNN).

During both visits, Harry and William were photographed in animated conversation, just like you'd expect from two brothers at events such as these. While there had been talk that Meghan and Harry would travel to England with their children to spend Christmas with the ailing Queen Elizabeth and the royal family, Page Six reported that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex won't be attending.

But that doesn't mean the pair won't make an appearance there again someday soon as this royal saga continues.
