Is Meghan Markle Planning To Make This Surprising Career Change?

Before Meghan Markle married Prince Harry and became the Duchess of Sussex, she was known as an actress who had parts in movies such as "Remember Me," "Horrible Bosses," "A Lot Like Love," and "Get Him to the Greek." She also appeared as a model on Howie Mandel's game show "Deal or No Deal" (via IMDb). However, she didn't get her big break until she was cast on the TV drama "Suits," where she made a name for herself.

CheatSheet reports that Meghan was actively planning her next career move following "Suits" when she met Harry. Sources tell Cosmopolitan that Meghan was looking to build up her lifestyle website, The Tig, and "develop her career as a lifestyle influencer." She was even reportedly interested in doing a television show about food, travel, and culture if her website blew up. However, those plans were never seen through as Meghan gave up her acting career when she and Harry got engaged.

Of course, Meghan hasn't shied away from appearing on TV. She's done interviews and even recently appeared on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," much to the delight of her fans. Now, sources are claiming that the duchess may be eyeing a career path that would put her back on the small screen.

Is Meghan Markle headed back to television?

Meghan Markle reportedly had a blast during her appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" in November 2021, and that got her thinking about tackling her own daytime talk show.

"Meghan was rejuvenated by the whole Ellen experience and came home excited about what a dream job it would be for her," a source told Heat Magazine (via the Mirror). "The idea of picking whoever she wants to interview while having plenty of fun and also addressing the topics she cares about is really starting to appeal — especially as it will boost her popularity."

One of the hosts of "Today Australia" weighed in on the possibility of Meghan hosting a talk show (via Express). "She recently did Ellen's talk show and that's kind of apparently put that little seed in her mind that maybe she could do her talk show," the host said.

While many fans would love to see Markle back on television, it's currently unlikely that the Duchess of Sussex is planning a show at the moment. However, she and her husband, Prince Harry, have shocked and surprised fans in the past, so it seems that anything is on the table.
