Bachelor In Paradise's Astrid Loch And Kevin Wendt Share Scary Health News About Their Baby

As fans of "Bachelor in Paradise" know, star couple Astrid Loch and Kevin Wendt shared their journey to have a baby on social media (via Page Six). Happily, after two years trying to get pregnant, they welcomed a baby boy named August in November.

Now, the new parents are updating fans with some scary news about their newborn, with Wendt taking to Instagram to share a lengthy post about the family's COVID-19 status. "Our family has covid and it is not taking it easy on any of us," the reality star captioned a series of photos featuring Loch with their baby in the hospital (via E! Online).

"Astrid had a terrible flu followed by Auggy getting a fever, which after being tested is covid as well," the dad went on to share. "August was admitted to the hospital and seeing him sick and in pain at 4 weeks old breaks our hearts."

Sadly, Wendt is not feeling well either, with the "Bachelor Nation" alum writing, "I got very sick yesterday and today is my worst yet, so I couldn't go in the hospital, not even to bring Astrid dinner, and because of the new variant and the unknown around transmission, I've been staying clear of my little man until my symptoms are gone."

Christmas will be difficult for the "Bachelor in Paradise" stars

Loch went on to tell his Instagram followers that the family would be in isolation until after Christmas. He also praised his fiancé, writing, "she snapped into mama bear mode and never skipped a beat." He added a tribute to Loch, saying, "Thanks hun, for being the mother I knew you would be, already."

"Bachelor Nation" members poured into the comments section of Wendt's post to share well wishes, with Vanessa Grimaldi writing, "Sending you all the love." Former "Bachelorette" Kaitlyn Bristowe said, "Oh my goodness. Sending all the healing vibes your way. She is a hero." Bryan Abasolo commented, "God bless you guys...get better soon." And among so many other comments from "Bachelor Nation," Raven Gates, who recently shared she is expecting, wrote, "Oh my goodness! I'm so sorry!! Praying for strength & recovery! I can only imagine."

Meanwhile, another "Bachelor Nation" member has been affected by COVID this week, with co-host Tayshia Adams having to skip the finale of Michelle Young's season of "The Bachelorette" due to a potential exposure (via Page Six).
