Paris In Love Season 2 - Here's What We Can Tell Fans So Far
Though she had known venture capitalist Carter Reum for 15 years, Paris Hilton did not begin to develop romantic feelings for her longtime friend until she saw how he interacted with his mother at a Thanksgiving dinner in 2019. "We just started talking, he got my phone number, and we were flirting that day," Hilton said during an episode of "The Trend Report With Mara Schiavocampo," (via E! News).
She continued, "We went back for dinner that night. I just saw how sweet he was with his mom, we were talking more and I just felt, like, this really amazing connection. And then we had our first kiss and then our first date two nights later and then we've literally been inseparable ever since." Then, just a little over a year after they began dating, Reum popped the question in a romantic beach proposal.
Hilton and Reum got hitched in November 2021, with a series of extravagant celebrations of love and family (and, of course, plenty of fabulous outfit changes). Remaining true to her reality TV roots, Hilton brought cameras inside of her wedding planning with a 13-part docuseries on Peacock, called "Paris in Love." The series wrapped in January 2022. Here's everything we know about Season 2 of "Paris in Love."
When will Season 2 of Paris in Love premiere?
Season 1 of "Paris in Love" followed Paris Hilton as she prepared to tie the knot with now-husband Carter Reum. Although fans were clamoring for more insight into their sweet relationship, the show wasn't guaranteed to get a second season since the story could be considered over. As the Daily Beast reported, "Paris in Love" followed Hilton's wedding planning, which included a heavy dose of luxury, arguments with family members about wedding details, and lots more.
In Season 1, the socialite also attempted to show cameras a more relatable side of her personality as she recounted past trauma from unhealthy romantic relationships. Thankfully, Hilton seems to have finally found her Prince Charming and, evidently, their love story isn't over yet. Deadline confirmed in February 2023 that Peacock had renewed the docuseries for another season, which is set to premiere before the year ends.
It will follow Hilton and Reum as they navigate married life alongside their new baby. "I'm thrilled to be back on Peacock for another season of 'Paris in Love,'" the reality star shared. "It was so special to share the ups and downs of our love story in the lead-up to our incredible wedding. As Carter and I embark on this new chapter of our lives as parents, I can't wait to give fans a peek into #sliving with my amazing husband and sweet baby boy."
Who will be appearing in the second season of the show?
Obviously, the second season of "Paris in Love" will feature newlyweds Paris Hilton and Carter Reum front and center. Other high-profile members of the Hilton family, like one-time "Real Housewife" and Paris' eccentric mother, Kathy Hilton, her sister, Nicky Hilton Rothschild, and aunt, current "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Kyle Richards, all made appearances during Season 1 of the show. Even the head of the Kardashian clan and Hilton family friend, Kris Jenner, briefly showed up in "Paris in Love."
For those who might be unfamiliar with Reum, he is a venture capitalist from the Midwest. According to Page Six, Carter's father is Bob Reum, the former president, chairman, and CEO of Amsted Industries, which is worth an estimated $4 billion. Despite coming from a wealthy family, those close to Carter claim that he is incredibly hard-working and is the perfect match for the equally-ambitious Paris, who is actually worth a whopping $300 million.
"Carter is not a finance 'bro,'" a source close to him clarified. "He comes from a very low-key Midwest family who would never discuss their money. ... Both [Carter] and Paris are pretty serious people who have found their match. They know how to have fun, but they're very ambitious people." We can expect to learn a lot more about the famous couple when the show returns.
The couple embarked on a glamorous honeymoon
Instead of heading to one single location to celebrate their wedding vows, Paris Hilton and Carter Reum visited several of their favorite destinations around the world during their honeymoon. "We've just been working so hard that we've actually decided to take a seven-week honeymoon," Hilton explained during an episode of the "This is Paris" podcast (via Insider). "It's Thanksgiving and Christmas and we've been working so hard so we've decided to enjoy."
The couple traveled to luxurious travel destinations including French Polynesia, Moskito Island in the British Virgin Islands, Anguilla, Bora Bora, and London, per People and Insider. Hilton also noted that she was looking forward to becoming a mother once their trip was over. "I've always felt like we were married this entire time, but now I just feel like just so excited for this next phase and I can't wait to have babies," she asserted. "He's just the perfect guy for me."
What will Season 2 of Paris in Love be about?
"Paris in Love" Season 2 is guaranteed to be jam-packed with drama not least because the iconic socialite became a mom in early 2023. On January 24, Paris Hilton confirmed to People that she and her husband Carter Reum had welcomed a baby boy via surrogate. "It's always been my dream to be a mother and I'm so happy that Carter and I found each other," Hilton gushed. "We are so excited to start our family together and our hearts are exploding with love for our baby boy."
The "Stars Are Blind" hit-maker also shared the happy news on Instagram, noting, "You are already loved beyond words" alongside a shot of a tiny hand gripping her perfectly manicured talons. Famous friends including Kris Jenner rushed to congratulate the new mom, writing: "Congratulations what a blessing!!!!! We love you!!!!" Legendary fashion designer Donatella Versace similarly enthused, "Congratulations Paris!!! Love you."
Hilton and Reum began trying for a baby in the middle of the worldwide COVID-19 lockdown, beginning their IVF journey once the model and DJ finally had some free time. As she informed People, "We knew we wanted to start a family, and I was like, 'This is perfect timing. Usually, I'm on a plane 250 days out of the year, and let's just get all of the eggs stocked and ready,' and we have tons of them just waiting." We'll have to check out Season 2 to learn more.
