How Paris And Nicky Hilton Both Channeled Their Mom On Their Wedding Days

Kathy Hilton was undoubtedly the breakout star of Season 11 of "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," thanks in part to the fact that she didn't give a hoot about being on the show in the first place. From wondering who "Hunky Dory" is, to howling with her dogs and drinking Red Bull in bed, Kathy clearly made her mark on the famously prim and proper women of Beverly Hills. As the self-described prankster acknowledged to Bustle in 2021, "I am a funny person."

Of course, the Hilton matriarch has two famous sisters — "RHOBH" co-star Kyle Richards and alum Kim Richards  as well as famous daughters Paris and Nicky Hilton, so she's already a known name in Hollywood. As any millennial knows, Paris landed her breakout with MTV's "The Simple Life," and went on to become one of the biggest reality stars of the early 2000's. Though Kathy's girls feature primarily as peripheral stars on "RHOBH," their influence is keenly felt, especially since both Paris and Nicky are also close with Kyle. Therefore, it's not surprising that both girls chose to honor their mother in a special way on their respective wedding days.

The three Hilton ladies looked strikingly similar on their wedding days

Per People, sisters Nicky and Paris Hilton chose remarkably similar dresses for their weddings, both of which paid homage to what their mother, Kathy Hilton, wore on her own big day. Paris opted for an elegant, long-sleeved, high-necked Oscar de la Renta number for her Los Angeles nuptials to Carter Reum. The intricately detailed gown featured a flower-covered bodice and matching sleeves, with an expansive tulle ball skirt, while her extravagant veil had a similar floral design around the base. A few years prior, People reported that Nicky donned a chic, long-sleeved Valentino Haute Couture gown to marry James Rothschild in 2015. Complete with a high-neck bodice, a three-meter long train, and a cathedral-length veil with vintage lace, Nicky's dress was every inch as elegant and show-stopping as Paris'.

It's not too much of a stretch to assume that both women were honoring their mother by wearing intricately detailed, lacy, long-sleeved gowns for their big days. The Hilton matriarch chose a similar look for her 1979 wedding to Richard Hilton, per a throwback shot posted to Instagram in 2013. In fact, the "RHOBH" star bore a striking resemblance to her daughters in the picture, especially with her exquisite, floor-length veil. Evidently, Paris and Nicky learned their style secrets from the best, and paid tribute accordingly.
