What Is Chloe Lukasiak Studying In School?

Chloe Lukasiak was a bit of an underdog during her time on Lifetime's "Dance Moms." However, these days, she's traded being at the top of the pyramid for being at the top of her game, balancing an acting career with her academic passions.

In 2019, Lukasiak posted a video on her YouTube channel titled "College Questions Answered." The description for the video read, "All of you had so many questions for me regarding college and I wanted to answer all of them." In the video, the "Dance Moms" alum shared that she got accepted into Pepperdine University. "I got offered fall admission, but I decided to just do spring admission," she explained. She went on to say that she had "considered taking a gap year," but "didn't want to fall too far behind."

At the time, Lukasiak was seemingly filled with nerves and excitement, still a bit unsure of how to balance college life with a booming career. Fast forward to today, and it seems like the former reality star is juggling things quite nicely, while pursuing a degree she's passionate about.

Chloe Lukasiak isn't afraid to get a little creative with her studies

In her "College Questions Answered" video, Chloe Lukasiak didn't dance around the subject of her college major, sharing, "I'm going for Creative Writing and, like I told you guys, I'm definitely considering switching to Marketing and minor in Creative Writing." She continued, "Definitely want to involve Creative Writing in some way because I definitely, no matter what I do, I would love to write a book, or multiple, at one point." (Prior to announcing her college plans, Lukasiak was already on her way to a flourishing literary career with the 2018 publication of her memoir, "Girl on Pointe.")

Lukasiak continued musing about her future, noting, "[Writing has] always been an interest of mine and I have so many ideas and that's just the world I'd love to live in, but I think Marketing is very important no matter what area I go in, so I think I will be switching it before I even go to college."

Chloe Lukasiak is pursuing an education at a 'wonderful school'

While Chloe Lukasiak was riding high following her acceptance into Pepperdine University, she told fans that she initially hit a rough patch when she didn't get into another California school with an event higher acceptance rate. "I was very upset about not getting into that school," she shared in her "College Questions Answered" video. "I thought that my worth had decreased or that I had overestimated my worth."

She added, "I started to think horrible things about myself. I was like, my God, I'm so dumb, and I'm not going to do anything with my life." However, Lukasiak soon realized that "none of that is true." She noted, "I made a good decision, I got into a wonderful school, I'm so excited about Pepperdine." 

Lukasiak left her viewers with some advice that could've come from someone well beyond her years. "The colleges you don't get into or that you do get into, they don't determine your value at all. ... You will figure it out. What's meant to happen will happen. Everything happens for a reason. All of those things." 

As of this writing, Lukasiak is reportedly set to graduate in 2023, and we can't wait to see what she does next.
