Are Chrishell Stause And Simu Liu Dating?
"Selling Sunset" fans will recall seeing a spark between realtor Chrishell Stause and actor Simu Liu while she toured him through high-end Los Angeles real estate during season 4. But did their fun flirtation translate to more than a friendly relationship off-screen? Fans think they know the answer to that question.
Rumors have linked the duo since the Canadian actor filmed two episodes of the Netflix show last year. But now Stause is directly addressing speculation that she is finding love with Liu after her split from Jason Oppenheim. Appearing on "Watch What Happens Live," Stause told Andy Cohen about an alleged romance between the pair, "I get this question a lot. I have to say, Simu is just a friend of mine" (via E! Online).
Not that she doesn't think very highly of her "friend," calling him "so lovely" and "amazing" during her chat with Cohen. Meanwhile, Stause admitted that no one believes her that Liu isn't at least a friend with benefits. "No. No, I promise," the reality star laughed.
Fans are still rooting for Chrishell Stause and Simu Liu to get together
Of course, fan theories that the two were dating were only fueled when Stause shared a photo of herself with Liu on her Instagram a few months ago. Upon sharing the cozy shot, saying she'd "run into" him, Stause's Instagram followers immediately started saying the stars should be a thing.
"You guys really look good together good chemistry between you guys too," one fan commented. "This is the the relationship I was rooting for. Unless it was acting on both parts, it seemed so easy and pure. The chemistry was palpable," said someone else. "That's the guy. Go get him!" another fan encouraged her. And yet another person who would love to see Stause and Liu be more than just friends commented, "I totally felt like you two had a little spark going on when you were finding a house for him."
Sadly the realtor has dashed those hopes for now and even hinted the Marvel star may already be in a relationship. She told Cohen Liu doesn't like to be "public with his whole situation, but he's just a friend." She added he is private about his personal life (via People).
