Royal Expert Makes Bold Claims About Meghan Markle's Attitude Toward The UK

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stunned the world when they announced their plans to exit the royal family in early 2020. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex opted to leave their royal duties behind and start a new chapter in California, where they currently live in Montecito. Since the couple's royal exit, Harry has returned home to the UK on two occasions, for the funeral of his grandfather Prince Philip (via BBC), and to unveil a statue of his late mother Princess Diana, perĀ ELLE. However, Markle didn't join him for either event, and some experts think that the duchess may never return to the UK.

In September 2021, royal expert Robert Jobson told Us Weekly that thinks Meghan could steer clear of the UK going forward. "I'm not sure Meghan will ever come to Britain again. She's not popular [right] now," Jobson said, adding that Markle seen "doting on the queen" would be "hypocritical" following her public criticism of the firm if she were ever to return. Sadly, this means that most members of the royal family, including Harry's father Prince Charles, grandmother Queen Elizabeth, and brother Prince William have yet to meet his youngest child, daughter Lilibet Diana, in person.

Now, another expert says that Meghan doesn't appear to care about returning to the UK.

A royal biographer accused Meghan Markle of hypocrisy

The Sun reports that Meghan Markle may never step foot in the UK again following her and Prince Harry's exit from the royal family. The former "Suits" star is said to be happy and content living in California, as she's reportedly focused on her family and career, not the state of the monarchy. Royal biographer Tom Bower told the outlet that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex consider Britain to be a "lost cause."

"In truth, I suspect Meghan no longer cares whether she is welcome in London. She has no intention of returning," Bower stated, revealing that the Duchess may be busy devising a plan to break into American politics. "At the moment, Meghan's ultimate destination is unclear, but she certainly has the backing to make a bid to star as an American politician," he added.

"After staging a Hollywood-style wedding at Windsor, she spent the next year moaning about her treatment by the British media and the Royal Family. Her hypocrisy began to undermine her popularity," Bower continued, claiming that Meghan still remains popular in the US.

Bower also claimed that Meghan and Harry's trip to NYC last fall was a huge success, and that it's clear the Sussexes have a big following when it comes to groups such as Democrats, minorities, and the younger generation.
