The Heartbreaking Death Of General Hospital Actor Lindsey Pearlman

Actress Lindsey Pearlman, 43, was found dead in Los Angeles on February 18, 2022, after being reported missing. Pearlman recurred in primetime television shows like "Empire," "Chicago Justice," and "Vicious," as well as on daytime television on "General Hospital." According to The Hollywood Reporter, a friend had last seen her on February 13.

Pearlman appeared on "General Hospital" in January 2020 in pivotal scenes involving characters Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), Mike Corbin (Max Gail), and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) when they were involved in a mob shootout when visiting a Brooklyn, NY pub. Pearlman played Maggie McMorris, a barista at the pub. Maggie shared a heartwarming conversation with Mike about baseball. When news of her death broke, "GH" Executive Producer Frank Valentini tweeted his condolences.

"Lindsey Pearlman was terrific on ['General Hospital'] and we are saddened to hear of this tragedy," Valentini wrote. "Our hearts go out to her family and friends."

Police are still investigating Lindsey Pearlman's death

The LAPD posted the news of Lindsey Pearlman's death on Friday. "Today around 8:30 a.m., Hollywood Area officers responded to a radio call for a death investigation at Franklin Avenue and North Sierra Bonita Avenue," the statement read. "The L.A. County Coroner's Office has since confirmed the individual to be Lindsey Erin Pearlman. The cause of death will be determined by the coroner."

The Daily Mail reports that a security guard who was near the scene when the police found Pearlman's body said there appeared to be pills all over the car and that her body had been found in a blanket. Pearlman's husband, Vance Smith, also posted news of her death to his Instagram page. "The police found Lindsey. She's gone. I'm broken," he wrote. "I will share more later but I wanted to thank everyone for their love and efforts and ask to respect the privacy of her family at this time."

According to Pearlman's website, the actress hailed from Chicago where she studied with the famed Second City Conservatory, but moved to LA after landing her recurring role on "Chicago Justice."
