Kim Kardashian Gives A Heartbreaking Tribute To Her Late Father

Fans have watched the Kardashian family grow and change over the years thanks to their hit reality TV show "Keeping Up with the Kardashians." However, before fans met the famous family, it looked a bit different. The family was once headed by patriarch Robert Kardashian Sr., a high-powered lawyer who became well-known for his involvement as part of O.J. Simpson's legal team during his infamous 1995 murder trial (via The Sun). Sadly, just a few years after the trial, Robert fell ill. Despite being a man who greatly valued his health, he was diagnosed with esophageal cancer at the age of 59 in 2003, and the disease spread quickly. Just two months after his diagnosis, Robert passed away.

Over the years, the Kardashians have spoken about how hard it was for them to deal with Robert's death. However, they have been sure to keep his memory alive. In 2019, Khloe Kardashian even admitted that she and her daughter, True Thompson, speak to her late father before going to bed each night. "I still talk to my dad all the time, every night. Me and my daughter, we pray to him, we talk to him, so I'm a big believer of that," she said in an episode of "Revenge Body," per SheKnows.

Now, Kim and her siblings are honoring their beloved father on his birthday.

The Kardashian sisters pays tribute to their late father via social media

On February 22, Kim Kardashian took to social media to pay tribute to her late father, Robert Kardashian, on what would have been his 78th birthday. Kim posted a sweet throwback photo on Instagram of herself and her father during his birthday celebration in 1998 (via People). "Birthday selfie with my dad!" she captioned the photo. "We took this pic on this day celebrating his birthday at the Armenian restaurant in 1998. Born on 2.22.44 and today it's the angel number 2.22.22," she continued. "I definitely feel the angels all around and feel you all the time. Thank you for always guiding and protecting all of us. Definitely celebrating you today dad. I miss you soooooo much."

Meanwhile, Kim's sisters also honored their late father on his birthday. "Happy birthday to my daddy. My angel forever," Kourtney Kardashian wrote in a post on her Instagram Stories, along with photos of herself and her father (via People). Then, Khloe Kardashian also shared snaps and a video of her beloved dad in memory of his birthday. "Happy birthday Daddy," she captioned the posts to her Instagram Stories, adding a white heart emoji and a dove emoji.

It seems that the Kardashian family works hard to keep the memory of their father, Robert Kardashian Sr., alive, even nearly 20 years after his death.
