Emilia Clarke prefers to keep her love life private, but as a public figure, some things are bound to slip through the cracks. Back in 2013, Clarke and James Franco were seen together at the Frieze art fair in New York. Of course, being popular stars, tongues were set wagging, and it was said that the two were "looking quite friendly," per Page Six.
Despite speculation at the time, the pair were never seen together other than at two official engagements, The Express reported. But this didn't put an end to the rumors; a situation that only intensified when Franco cast Clarke in his film "The Garden of The Last Days," notes Pop Sugar. However, the movie was scrapped two weeks before filming started as Franco walked away from the project.
The "Me Before You" actress was eventually forced to address the rumors surrounding herself and Franco. "He is, of course, beautiful," Clarke said about Franco, "but I feel there's only a handful of women who could form an engagement after two meetings, and I'm not one of them," she added, per The Express.
James Franco isn't the only celebrity to have been romantically linked to Clarke, and previous rumors suggested that she and Jason Momoa were an item.
