Inside Anna Duggar's Complicated Living Situation

Correction: 3/6/2022: A previous version of this article stated that Anna Duggar had eight children. Anna Duggar has seven children. This information has been corrected.

The Duggar family of TLC's popular shows "19 Kids and Counting" and "Counting On" were once viewed as wholesome and kind people. While their extreme views on both religion and politics made them a topic of conversation for years, the family had a strong fan base before their scandals broke (via the Observer).

However, once the controversies rose to the surface, the Duggar family had a quick fall from grace. The family of 19 kids that were once adored by fans became questioned for their morals. It started when the scandal that the eldest child, Josh Duggar, sexually assaulted a number of his sisters during their youth broke (per In Touch Weekly). From there, it all went downhill. "19 Kids and Counting" was canceled — "Counting On" with the Duggar daughters at the center later premiered in its place — and more scandals involving Josh broke. Because of this, the Duggars had their world turned upside down yet again.

As Josh's wife, Anna Duggar has had a complicated living situation for a long time. Now, it's complicated once more.

Anna and Josh sold their dream home

Josh Duggar was recently arrested and convicted on child pornography charges (via Us Weekly). While he won't be sentenced until April, he has been spending time in the state jail, where he was moved to solitary confinement for his safety.

When Josh was arrested, his whole family's lives were turned upside down. His wife, Anna Duggar, went from living in the home she shared with her husband — and was planning on renovating — to living with his parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar (via Cinema Blend).

What makes this situation interesting is that the house Josh and Anna shared was put up for sale in 2020, before he was arrested. However, the home was sold a few months before Josh's guilty verdict (via The U.S. Sun). The home was believed to be a dream for the couple, but they sold it for $350,000 below the asking price.

Now, it seems Anna and her seven children are still living with her in-laws, while her husband remains in jail.
