Why Fans Think Teddi Wright Might Be The Next Bachelorette
On the first night of the latest season of "The Bachelor," which debuted in January 2022, contestant Teddi Wright proved herself to be a bold contender for Clayton Echard's heart when she kissed him and managed to earn the enviable first-impression rose.
However, according to Cosmopolitan, the California nurse didn't end up going on a one-on-one date with Echard until the fifth episode of the ABC dating show. And this date didn't seem to help Wright's chances with Echard since she didn't make it into the final episodes of the show.
Recently, Wright returned to "The Bachelor" to participate in the "Women Tell All" episode of the show that aired on March 7, 2022.
"I am so unbelievably thankful for my life right now," Wright wrote in an Instagram post in February 2022. "This was truly a once in a lifetime experience. The friendships I made will last a lifetime."
She also talked about her journey of self-love in the post: "The love and confidence I found within myself will only continue to grow. I learned that there is strength in being vulnerable, it takes so much more courage to stay open to love no matter the risk of being hurt. ... I'm sure you'll see me again."
In the comments section of this post, fans made it clear that they wanted Wright to be the next Bachelorette — and Bachelor Nation sleuths believe that this dream might just come true.
Fans believe Teddi Wright's outfit during the Women Tell All episode is a hint
A simple outfit choice has "Bachelor" fans convinced that contestant Teddi Wright will be the next Bachelorette. A Bachelor Nation fan's tweet, which was reposted by fan account Bachelorette Windmill on Instagram, theorized there is a reason Wright wore a black dress at the "Women Tell All" episode of "The Bachelor," which aired on March 7, 2022.
According to the fan, several former "Bachelorette" contestants — like Hannah Brown, Michelle Young, and Katie Thurston — have worn black during the "Women Tell All" episode of their season.
However, fans were also quick to point out holes in the theory that future "Bachelorette" contestants wear black during their "Women Tell All" episodes. For example, a few other women also wore black during the recent "Women Tell All" episode, according to Cosmopolitan.
As it turns out, though, the campaign for current "Bachelor" finalist Gabby Windey to become the next Bachelorette has been even louder than this recent campaign for Wright. A source even revealed to E! News that this fan support for Windey has been noticed by producers of the show.
Other viable options for the next Bachelorette include current "Bachelor" finalists Susie Evans and Rachel Recchia, along with Serene Russell, another contestant from Clayton Echard's season, according to E! News.
