Lady Gaga Made Her Feelings About Her Oscars Snub Obvious

Lady Gaga is best known for being one of pop music's most popular stars, but lately, she has made a place for her spot in Hollywood as well. She starred in the 2018 remake of "A Star Is Born" alongside Bradley Cooper and won an Oscar for the song "Shallow" that became a massive hit following its appearance in the film (via uDiscoverMusic).

The pop star and actress landed another leading role in the film "House of Gucci" where she portrayed Patrizia Reggiani, the wife of Maurizio Gucci, the founder of the iconic fashion brand (per NPR).

While there were mixed feelings about the film, many fans were upset to see that Gaga was not nominated for an Oscar this year (via Variety). After scoring nominations in leading actress categories at the Critics Choice Awards, Golden Globes, Screen Actors Guild Awards, and BAFTA Film Awards, fans were certain she would find herself nominated for an Oscar as well.

However, Gaga was snubbed, and she made a statement on award night.

Lady Gaga skipped the Oscars red carpet and pre-show

As celebrities began hitting the red carpet, fans were searching for Lady Gaga, who always stuns with her looks and after showing up at the Critics Choice Awards with two different looks (via Good Morning America).

The actress was not seen at the Oscars red carpet this year, breaking the hearts of fans who were ready to see what look she would pull out this year (via Page Six). Given her snub, many assumed the worst, thinking she was sticking it to the Oscars by not appearing. However, Gaga had a good reason for not being on the red carpet: She was co-hosting Elton John's annual AIDS Foundation's Academy Awards Viewing Party with Billy Porter and Eric McCormack (via Elite Daily).

Don't worry, Little Monsters. Gaga still got to walk a red carpet at John's fundraising event and looked stunning in a strapless yellow gown. The singer-turned-actress is also still expected to present at the Oscars, so you'll still get your Gaga fix! The singer even tweeted, "We're cheering everyone on tonight and see you @TheAcademy SOON!"
