The Real-Life Partners Of The Bold And The Beautiful Cast

You don't have to be a soap-opera fanatic to know that daytime dramas like "The Bold and the Beautiful" have captivated audiences for quite some time with steamy love stories, familiar family drama, long-lasting character arcs, and intriguing cliffhangers that leave you dangling. Since it first aired on March 23, 1987, "The Bold and the Beautiful," with its addictive storylines, has remained one of the most-watched soap operas in the country, alongside "The Young and the Restless." Both shows were created by the late William J. Bell and his wife, Lee Phillip (via IMDb).

Throughout the soap opera's multiple decades on the air, it's won numerous awards, including a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Drama three years in a row from 2009 to 2011 (according to IMDb). Since its inception, Bradley P. Bell, who has served as the executive producer and head writer, talked about the soap's longevity, telling TV Insider, "I would have never imagined what was in store ... It's been a fantastic journey and incredible experience for all of us. We would not be here if not for the invaluable support of CBS and our millions of fans around the globe for their loyalty and support."

The long-time running soap opera has made household names out of its casts, and while you may know about their on-screen romances, how much can you say you know about their real-life relationships? Here are the real-life partners of some of your favorite cast members of "The Bold and the Beautiful."

John McCook celebrated 42 years of marriage in 2022

John McCook is like his character, Eric Forrester, on "The Bold and the Beautiful" in the way that he's not afraid of getting hitched. In real life, the actor has been married multiple times.

He and actress Laurette Spang married on February 16, 1980 (via SoapHub), and ever since, they've appeared to be blissfully in love. They share three kids; Jake, Rebecca, and Molly. Notably, McCook has son Seth from a previous relationship. When asked by Soap Opera Digest if it was love at first sight, he shared, "Yeah, pretty much. I had been through a marriage before. Laurette had not, but we were both really ready to commit to this thing. We came to a place where we thought we would be terrific together. We decided to fall in love."

Luckily for McCook and Spang, they haven't had many huge fallouts in their marriage. In his Soap Opera Digest interview, he stated that their successful marriage and family life is due to communication. When their first major relationship issue occurred, he said that the first thing that was uttered was, "This is not the end of anything. When we finish talking about this, we're going to be together and everything's going to be fine, but now we're going to talk about this."

Lawrence Saint-Victor married his college sweetheart Shay Flake

Lawrence Saint-Victor has portrayed Carter Walton on "The Bold and the Beautiful" since 2013 (via IMDb). The actor met his partner Shay Flake while attending the Conservatory of Theater Arts and Film at SUNY Purchase College in New York, according to Soap Hub.

Days before Saint-Victor married Flake, he spoke with Soap Opera Digest about his upcoming nuptials and shared, "I'm exhausted and frustrated. It's great, but it's a lot! Everything's down to the wire. Let's just get this sucker over with and let's go party!" He also chatted about his new life and the future, stating, "I'm settling down, but no kids!" He added, "Well, at least not yet." On September 1, 2007, the couple married, and 11 years later, they had their first child.

Saint-Victor appears to be nothing like this television character, who has been in multiple relationships and even called off an engagement before heading to the altar. In September 2021, the actor took to Instagram on his wedding anniversary and, alongside a carousel of photos of him and his wife, wrote, "14 years ago today I married the LOVE of my life. What a journey. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!"

Rena Sofer's love life comes with a plot twist

Rena Sofer, who plays Quinn Fuller on "The Bold and the Beautiful" (a "Bold and the Beautiful" character you'd hate to know in real life), has fallen in and out of romances of her own as her character has throughout the years. While the actress married TV director Sanford Bookstaver, they decided to call it quits and divorced in 2017.

However, the parents of daughter Avalon found their way back to one another in 2019. She opened up about the reconciliation with Soaps in Depth in an exclusive interview and shared, "There was never another person, so it was never that issue. We just needed to figure it out." She also stated that she did date after their separation and joked, "I tried to date, but I ended up just dating dogs more than anything. I mean literal dogs, although I did date some 'dogs,' too!" In 2019, the pair got engaged to be remarried.

In May 2021, Bookstaver and Sofer celebrated their anniversary. Bookstaver shared a series of photos of them together on his Instagram page and penned a message to his loving wife, writing, "Happy Anniversary to the Love of My Life @rena.sofer You are my everything! #oganniversary." Sofer commented on the sweet shoutout and wrote, "Awww happy weird anniversary baby!!! I love you!!!"

Don Diamont found love again with Cindy Ambuehl

Don Diamont plays the ruthless Bill Spencer Jr., who's had his fair share of drama and women, on "The Bold and the Beautiful" (via IMDb). But when it comes to romance in real life, Diamont is focused on one lady love.

Diamont crossed paths with the woman who would become his second wife, Cindy Ambuehl, back in the '90s when she auditioned for "The Young and the Restless," as noted by SheKnows Soaps. Who would have thought that the pair would be married years later with twins? Diamont, who was previously married to Rachel Braun, and Ambuehl became involved, and in 2003, they welcomed twin boys Davis and Anton. After being engaged for nine years, the couple tied the knot in Eze, France in 2012.

In an interview with TV Insider in 2018 about his autobiography, he discussed his relationship with his wife. When the interviewer mentioned that Diamont's life was changed by his wife, he agreed and shared, "Cindy has a tremendous goodness — she has an open, warm, loving heart. There's no 'quit' in her. She can take on any challenge. She is tenacious. She's 'Superwoman.'"

Katherine Kelly Lang 'can't imagine' life without boyfriend Dominique Zoida

Katherine Kelly Lang is one of the longest-running cast members on "The Bold and the Beautiful," having portrayed Brooke Logan as a series regular since the birth of the show (via IMDb). Over the course of the show, her character has been married 21 times, according to ET. In real life, Lang hasn't made that many trips down the aisle, but she has taken the walk twice. In 1989, she wed her first husband, Skott Snider, but after six years, the pair divorced. Then two years later, she married Alex D'Andrea in 1997, but unfortunately, the couple divorced in 2014, according to The Sydney Morning Herald.

However, not long after, Lang would find love again. She met her boyfriend, Dominique Zoida, back when he reportedly was hired to train CBS employees for a triathlon. In an interview in 2020 with The Sydney Morning Herald, Lang dished on her relationship with Zoida. She shared, "I met the love of my life seven years ago and can't imagine my world without Dominique Zoida. To finally have a man come into my life who is completely right for me is something I wasn't expecting. We are best friends and love doing everything together."

Karla Mosley welcomed her second child with partner John Rogers in 2021

Up until 2019, Karla Mosley played Maya Avant on "The Bold and the Beautiful" (via IMDb). Unlike her character's relationship ups and downs, Karla keeps her romantic life relatively private. However, we do know that she found happiness with her partner, John Rogers. Still, Mosley has also been tight-lipped about this relationship, so it's unknown how the pair met and how long they've been together.

Fortunately for fans, she has shared photos of her family, including Rogers, her young daughter Aurora, and their new bundle of joy (via Soaps In Depth). On July 18, 2021, the pair welcomed their first child together, Willa Josephine. She took to Instagram to share the news with fans and followers and wrote alongside photos of her family, "Our sweet water babe, Willa Josephine. ... We are in awe of her and having a blast getting to know her. Thanks for blessing us, dear one."

Darin Brooks and Kelly Kruger were co-stars before becoming husband and wife

Darin Brooks portrays the character Wyatt Spencer on "The Bold and the Beautiful" (via IMDb). His wife, Kelly Kruger, has appeared on the series as Eva the publicist and still makes appearances now and again (via IMDb). Brooks and Kruger met while filming the television comedy series "Blue Mountain State" in 2010 and started dating that same year. Four years later, he popped the question while they were vacationing in France. The city has sentimental value for them for more than one reason. The actor told The Knot, "The first trip we ever took together was in Paris, and we got engaged there as well years later, so Paris means a lot to us."

Fast-forward to 2022, and the pair, who married in 2016, are parents to two daughters. They have a young daughter named Everleigh Jolie, and Kruger gave birth to their second child, Gemma Wynter, on January 29, 2022. In an interview with People, Brooks shared that he and his wife didn't want Everleigh to be an only child. He explained, "We always wanted a sibling for Everleigh because I have my older brother and Kelly has an older brother and two stepsisters. So we were so excited to be able to give Everleigh a sibling and when we found out it was a girl, it was perfect because Everleigh is just so awesome, caring, strong, and such a personality."

Thorsten Kaye and wife Susan Haskell both acted on One Life to Live

Thorsten Kaye appeared in another soap opera before portraying Ridge Forrester in "The Bold and the Beautiful" (via IMDb), having played Patrick Thornhart on "One Life to Live" in the 1990s. It'd appear that that's when Kaye met his wife, Susan Haskell, who played character Marty Saybrooke (via IMDb). Interestingly, the pair played lovers on the show at one point!

Before making it official, the two were thought to have been in a long-term relationship for quite some time. When asked by Soap Opera Digest if he and Haskell were married, he stated, "Well, it's funny you ask that because people always keep calling her my 'life partner,' but Susan is my wife. We were actually married. I'm not a church guy, but we did a thing on the beach a while back. I don't talk about it because I'm just a private guy." It's unknown just when exactly they tied the knot.

They are parents to two daughters, McKenna and Marlowe.

The Bold and the Beautiful vet Jennifer Gareis has been hitched for over a decade

Since 2006, Jennifer Gareis has played the middle Logan sister, Donna, on "The Bold and the Beautiful" (via IMDb). Since 2010, Gareis has been married to Bobby Ghassemieh, having wed in Los Angeles. Interestingly, her fans found out about their private wedding when the actor changed her relationship status to "married" on her Facebook account, according to SheKnows Soaps.

In a 2018 interview with Soap Opera Digest, after returning to set the of the daytime series, she talked about her family and their happiness. She shared, "I want to be happy myself, but my own little family to be happy, as well. I want my kids to be fulfilled and happy and loved unconditionally — that's really it. Being back on the show makes me feel really good. I don't want to go anywhere else. It fulfills me." Gareis, who has kids Gavin and Sophia with Ghassemieh, added, "I feel so blessed that I have two happy, healthy kids, a wonderful husband, and now, a career again."

In March 2022, Gareis celebrated 12 years of marriage with her husband, and on their anniversary, she posted a loving photo on Instagram. In that caption, she wrote, "12 wonderful years of marriage today! 20 years we have been friends! You are my one great love, my dear Bobby!! I love you googolplex!"

Jacqueline MacInnes Wood and husband Elan Ruspoli have been busy growing their family

"The Bold and the Beautiful" actor Jacqueline MacInnes Wood plays Steffy Forrester (via IMDb). Fans of the series might even see Wood play her character's twin sister, Phoebe, in the future, according to SheKnows Soaps, despite Phoebe's apparent death in earlier episodes. However, if that storyline comes to fruition, it likely won't be anytime soon because Wood and her husband, Elan Ruspoli, have been busy expanding their family.

After getting engaged in 2017, the couple decided to throw caution to the wind and elope during Wood's summer break from the soap opera. "It was very small and casual. We can always do something bigger later, but we thought, 'We love each other, so why wait?'" she shared with Soap Opera Digest.

The pair have two kids, and in 2021, she announced their brood would soon be adding a fifth member, as she was pregnant with her third child. That November, she told People magazine, "I am excited to announce that I am pregnant with my third child, due this spring. Elan and I dreamed of having a large family as we are both only children and are over the moon that our dreams are coming true."

Aaron D. Spears and wife Estela have enough kids to start a band

Aaron D. Spears joined the cast of "The Bold and the Beautiful" in 2009 as attorney Justin Barber. Over the years, Spears has appeared in various television shows, including "The Rookie," "NCIS: Los Angeles," and the popular drama "Being Mary Jane" (via IMDb).

The actor and his wife, Estela, are the parents of four daughters and a son, according to Soap Opera Digest. So not only does he have his hands busy with his career, but he's also kept busy with a large family. Spears shared with Soap Opera Digest in 2017 that his acting career wouldn't be what it is without the help of his wife. When it comes to raising their family, he stated, "You have to have someone that you trust at home with the foundation. It makes my job a lot easier because sometimes when you leave [for the set], you literally don't know when you're coming back. Like the last gig I did? I didn't get in for like 24 hours. I was on a plane, and the kids were asking, 'When are you coming back?' And I was like, 'I don't know. I haven't filmed it yet.'" He continued, "It's how I make my living, but you have to learn to adjust, and we've all done that together."

Heather Tom married her longtime love over a decade ago

Heather Tom took over the role of Katie Logan on "The Bold and the Beautiful" in 2007 after Nancy Sloan left the series (via IMDb).

After 15 years of being together, Tom and husband James Achor announced their engagement in August 2011 (via SheKnows Soaps). The following month, they tied the knot. Fourteen months later, the couple welcomed their first child, Zane. According to SoapCentral.com, after letting her webmaster reveal the fantastic news on her Facebook page, the actress released a formal announcement sharing that she was expecting. She said, "James and I are very excited. I'm due in October so there is a lot of planning going on right now. Also, we just found out that I'm having a boy!"

During an interview with soap opera journalist Michael Fairman, Tom chatted about being a new mother and how amazing her husband has been through it all. She disclosed, "He has been better than I would have ever dreamed. I fall in love with him more and more every day, because he is so good with the baby, and eager to be involved. James is really hands on, and more so than I ever thought he would be. It's awesome and great!"
