Fans of the hit TLC reality show "Sister Wives" were shocked to hear the news that Kody Brown, the family patriarch, and one of his four wives, Christine Brown, were calling it quits (via Us Weekly). Though it may have been a surprise to fans, it seems the separation was bound to happen.
Christine spoke about the breakup in a Cameo video, a platform where fans can buy costume videos from their favorite celebrities. In the video for a special fan, Christine shared, "Thank you for supporting me with leaving Kody," adding, "The decision was a long time coming, and I feel like a much better person divorced than I ever did, and life is so great."
Since the couple was involved in plural marriage, they were not legally married (via E! News). However, they did spend over 25 years spiritually married and share six children.
