Katie Maloney-Schwartz Weighs In On Whether Fans Can Expect A New Season Of Vanderpump Rules

When a reality TV show runs for as long as "Vanderpump Rules" has, it is bound to undergo some noticeable changes. What began as a show following the lives of young adults that all work at the same restaurant in West Hollywood, struggling to make it has now ended with the majority of the cast no longer even working there due to their celebrity paychecks. They were messy, they were loud, and they had quite the interwoven dating history — well, at least those elements remained in tact.

Stassi Schroeder and Kristen Doute getting fired by Bravo for their racist actions changed things even more drastically, per Variety. With Jax Taylor leaving the show shortly after, the show had lost three of its core stars in one fell swoop, per People. "Vanderpump Rules" still soldiered on with a few familiar faces and Lisa Vanderpump at the helm of it all. But Season 9 witnessed the show's lowest ratings ever, and fans were left wondering if it was time for the chapter to be closed, according to The Daily Beast

However, with the shocking news of Katie Maloney-Schwartz and Tom Schwartz's split, could the show have a second wind? Suddenly, fans were curious to watch the breakup unfold and see a single Maloney-Schwartz and Lala Kent. Here's what the "You're Gonna Love Me" podcast host has to say about it herself.

Katie hopes there's a Season 10

While no news has yet surfaced about whether or not "Vanderpump Rules" has begun filming Season 10, fans are beginning to believe it could be canceled. It would be a shame considering how much drama has unfolded since the finale. Aside from Katie Maloney-Schwartz and Tom Schwartz, James Kennedy and Raquel Leviss also called off their engagement.

Well, speaking with Us Weekly, Maloney-Schwartz confirmed she has the same sentiments. She confirmed that she has yet to hear anything about the show's future. "I haven't heard anything [about] not coming back, so that's a good sign," she said. "I think [they're] kind of figuring stuff out. Hopefully we'll hear something soon." As for her own opinion Maloney-Schwartz also wants to get another round, "I think given how different all of our lives are at this point, it would make for a really interesting season coming up."

While the future of "Vanderpump Rules" hangs in the balance, Maloney-Schwartz's close friend and cast mate Lala Kent shared her own thoughts on David Yontef's podcast "Behind The Velvet Rope." The actress felt the same way, "I really hope that we get another season because there's a lot of s*** that's gone down and you've got five people now that are like single ... it's life-changing." Kent is hopeful that a new season could be much more exciting, "We're going back to the way it used to be on 'Vanderpump Rules,' which could be terrifying, but also amazing."
