According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ricky Martin played the character of Miguel Morez on "General Hospital." Martin began his stint on the ABC soap opera back in 1994. Miguel was a singer and a bartender who became a heartthrob among viewers and was known for his long, luxurious hair, per Hollywood Life.

Martin didn't last long on the soap and exited the sudser in 1996. However, during his time in Port Charles, the singer's character became romantically involved with Lily Rivera. The two teens fell hard for one another and Lily ended up pregnant (via Soap Central). Her father was so angry that he put a hit out on Miguel, which led his family to send him back to Puerto Rico. Lily was then led to believe that Miguel had died and that her child was lost forever. She was later sent to a convent, but eventually returned home. When the two reunited they found out that their son was alive. Lily headed to Puerto Rico to find him, but when she finally reunited with the little boy she found that he was happy with his adoptive family and left him in their care.

After finding fame, Martin credited his role on the "GH" for helping launch his career (via THR). "I wish he'd stayed on the show forever, but he had bigger things to do. I'm so proud of him," former producer Wendy Riche said of the entertainer.
