Storm Reid has been acting since the age of 9, and in less than a decade the Atlanta-native has stunned audiences in multiple film and television roles. She's already appeared in the likes of "A Wrinkle in Time," "When They See Us," "The Invisible Man," and "Euphoria" (via IMDb). Reid, who is also an undergraduate student at University of Southern California, is constantly booked and busy jumping from set to set. However, she still finds time to embrace her love of both skincare and makeup.

The latter, she told Allure in 2021, is a form of self-expression more than anything. "As I got older and become a young woman, [I realized] makeup can be misconstrued," Reid said. "It can be seen as something that covers up a flaw. For me, it could be covering a blemish, but you're amplifying your beauty."

Spotlighting her skincare and makeup routine during an appearance in Vogue's Beauty Secrets series, Reid laid out the steps she takes. That included her everyday skincare regimen.

Storm Reid is a fan of gleaming skin

It's no surprise that Storm Reid has been racking up roles on both the big and small screen, and during filming it can be hard to regulate her skin. That's why she prioritizes a thorough skincare routine that she can stick to. She told Byrdie that one of her biggest takeaways in skincare, as well as haircare, is that less is more.

"When I'm on set, my skin tends to get congested and I am prone to breakouts like a lot of teenagers out there," she says in her Vogue Beauty Secrets video. "So when I am not on set, I make sure that my skincare routine is very consistent. I am very liberal with my products just to make sure I'm always glowing."

Reid starts out washing her combination skin with Tatcha's The Rice Water, a soft cream cleanser, and then adds a couple drops of Dr. Barbara Sturm hyaluronic serum. Next, she claims Tatcha's The Dewy Skin Cream is her one and only moisturizing choice. She liberally adds it to her face and neck.

"I like to be glowy," Reid says. "I love a good compliment that's like 'Oh my God, your skin looks so good. Oh you're glowing.'" The actress achieves that by using a couple drops of Dr. Barbara Sturm Glow Drops before going in with Supergoop! Glowscreen Sunscreen SPF 40 PA+++.

Storm Reid uses drugstore and luxury products to do her makeup

As a Maybelline global spokesperson, Storm Reid can achieve her makeup look using both drugstore and luxury products.

After completing her skincare routine, Reid goes in with a Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim Defining Eyebrow Pencil (which she also uses as a lipliner) before prepping her face with the brand's Instant Age Rewind Perfector 4-In-1 Whipped Matte Makeup. She says the latter acts as more of a moisturizing base than a heavy foundation (via YouTube).

Using a beauty blender, Reid applies a few under-eye dabs of Pat McGrath Labs Skin Fetish Sublime Perfection Concealer and then adds the Westman Atelier Baby Cheeks Blush Stick on her cheekbone. She expressed that she doesn't like to contour when she's doing her own makeup. Instead, Reid uses Huda Beauty GloWish Soft Radiance Bronzing Powder for an accent of color.

After going in with her signature, effortless winged eyeliner look, Reid finished off her natural look with Maybelline Colossal Curl Bounce Mascara and a Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask as a finishing gloss. It sounds like a glossy lip is a signature in her routine. "I have always been obsessed with makeup," Reid reveals. "I think for me makeup is a form of self-expression, and it started through lipgloss."
