Inside Victoria's Troubled Past With Men On The Young And The Restless

In 2022, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) is considered a hardened ice princess-businesswoman. She wears her hair pulled back in a low bun while donning designer suits and blouses that button up to her neck. In fact, in social media circles, she is often called "Witchtoria" for the way she treats people she thinks are beneath her, like her half-brother, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), according to Soaps.com.

However, there is another side to Victoria that has always just wanted to be loved by the right man. The problem is she keeps falling for the wrong man over and over again and has been doing this since she was a teenager when Heather Tom, who now plays Katie on "The Bold and the Beautiful," started playing the first Victoria. In 2005, Amelia Heinle took over the role and Victoria's luck with men didn't get any better (via Soaps In Depth).

Teenage Victoria falls for Ryan McNeil and Cole Howard

Victoria Newman was born in the early 1980s, but through the magic of soap opera aging, she had become a full-blown teenager by 1990. She returned to the fictional town of Genoa City after boarding school and was ready for romance — and to prove herself at Newman Enterprises. Although she had no college degree, her father Victor Newman, gave her a job in the mailroom at his company. That's when she met up and coming (and slightly older) businessman Ryan McNeil (Scott Reeves). The two married, but it didn't work out when Ryan fell for Nina Webster (Tricia Cast) and had an affair (via Soaps In Depth).

The next man Victoria fell for was Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck). She quickly married Cole the way she quickly married Ryan, but that marriage was even shorter-lived when it turned out that Cole might have been Victor's son, making them brother and sister (via Soaps.com). Thankfully, they were not, but by the time they learned the truth, they had both moved on.

Victoria's other odd romances

After Cole Howard, Victoria Newman had a series of odd and short-lived affairs that didn't amount to much. She nearly married Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) at one time, but that didn't work out and she even had a stalker named Gary Dawson (Ricky Paull Goldin). Diego Guitierez (Greg Vaughan) was another conquest and Victoria and Michael Baldwin (Christian J. LeBlanc) even dated for a while before he married Lauren Fenmore (Tracey E. Bregman). Brad Carlton (Don Diamont) was another familiar Genoa City name that had a fling with Victoria (via Soaps.com).

However, Brad also offered her a baby dilemma. Victoria was pregnant and she wasn't sure if the father was Brad of JT Hellstrom (Thad Luckinbill), a man Victoria had a long on and off relationship with that truly helped shape the woman she eventually became (via Soaps In Depth). He was also the man with whom she shared the most dangerous relationship.

Victoria's disturbing relationship with JT

When it turned out that JT Hellstrom was the father of Victoria Newman's baby, Reed, the two married and settled into domestic life and seemed very much in love. However, JT couldn't stay away from ex-love Colleen Carlton (Tammin Sursok). Victoria figured she would make things tit for tat and slept with Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) of "The Bold and the Beautiful" (via Soaps.com). When JT blamed Victor for Colleen's death, he divorced Victoria, got custody of Reed, married his first love Mackenzie Browning (Kelly Kruger), and moved to Washington D.C.

Years later, JT returned after a teenage Reed (Tristan Leabu) had run away to live with his mother. JT admitted there were problems with Mac and they would be divorcing, so Victoria was happy to rekindle their relationship and move her into the house she shared with her other two children, Johnny and Katie. Soon, JT started acting erratic and emotionally abusing Victoria.

Eventually, the emotional abuse turned physical and Victoria kicked JT out and confessed what happened to her mother and friends during a girl's night at her house. That's when JT snuck into her bedroom and started to grab her. Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) walked in and defended her daughter by clobbering JT over the head with a fireplace poker. They hid the body, but a year later, it turned out JT was alive and his behavior was caused by a brain tumor (via Soaps In Depth).

Victoria's erratic relationship with Billy

In between Victoria Newman's relationships with JT Hellstrom, she married and started a family with Billy Abbott (then played by Billy Miller, now Jason Thompson). The pair wed on a whim during a Jamaican getaway, but when that marriage proved to be invalid they had a proper ceremony back home (via Soaps.com). Billy may have been Victoria's most fun-loving relationship and she even agreed to adopt and raise his baby from a one-night stand with Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan). After Johnny was born, a little girl named Katie came along. However, when Billy's daughter with Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson), Delia (Sophie Pollono), was killed, Billy's emotional anguish tore their marriage apart (via Soaps In Depth).

Although Billy and Victoria tried again a few times and even had a commitment ceremony and decided to live together again in 2019 (via Soap Hub), but it didn't work out because Billy's immature and irresponsible nature caused Victoria to break things off once again.

Victoria falls for Ashland Locke and his lies

A lonely and bitter Victoria Newman thought she had finally found the right man in Ashland Locke (first played by Richard Burgi, now Robert Newman), a man who came to town to do business with Newman Enterprises and also learn that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) was his young son's real father (via Soaps In Depth). After Ashland's marriage to Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) blew up, he struck up a friendship with Victoria and eventually confessed that he was dying from cancer. By then, Victoria had fallen head over heels for him, and it didn't matter to her that secret after secret kept emerging. She married him anyway in a big wedding in Tuscany (via TV Insider) with Billy Abbott determined to prove Ashland was just snowing Victoria.

And it turned out he was. As of this writing, Victoria just learned that Ashland had been lying about his cancer the entire time and that was the final straw for Victoria (via Soaps.com). She kicked him out of her life and had their marriage annulled, but it turned out that Ashland had unwittingly fallen in love with Victoria, and as of this writing, he wants her back.
