Angus Cloud Reveals The Euphoria Scene That Was The Hardest To Film

Breakout star of "Euphoria," Angus Cloud, has had quite the year. After being discovered on the streets of Manhattan by the series' casting director in 2018, Cloud's rise to fame has been nothing short of meteoric. Since establishing himself as one of the HBO Max drama's fan-favorites as the laid-back drug dealer Fezco, Cloud's on and off-screen charisma has made him an instant star. With Season 2 of the show averaging about 16.3 million viewers, as per Variety, Cloud has racked up magazine covers and luxury paid partnerships with brands like Ray-Ban, BMW, and Ralph Lauren Fragrances (via Instagram).

His explosive year has also included announcements of feature film roles he's cast in like "The Line" opposite Chloe x Halle sister Halle Bailey and "Hereditary" star Alex Wolff, according to IMDb. While Cloud works on his other projects, fans of "Euphoria" are still talking about his character, even though Season 2 concluded in February 2022. One Twitter user wrote, "Fez in season 2 ep 1 of Euphoria probably gonna be the peak of the whole show regardless of how many seasons the show ends up having."

"Euphoria" is a hit, but it's also known for showing the bleak and shocking side of life. Critics and cast members have pushed back on controversial moments. Now, Cloud himself has spoken up about the moment in Season 2 that still has stunned fans asking questions.

Angus Cloud opens up this emotional Season 2 moment

Cloud told GQ that he was working in a "chicken and waffle joint" in New York City when an HBO casting director spotted him on the street. Fast forward to now, Cloud is talking about his new career with acclaimed actors like Juliette Lewis, Michael Keaton, and Selena Gomez in a recent segment by Vanity Fair about the acting process.

When asked, "What's the most challenging scene that you can remember working on?" Cloud recalled back on his experience working on Euphoria's heartbreaking season 2 finale. "When we were doing the shootout," he answered. "Just having to be so emotional and so vulnerable."

Later, he was asked to list a co-star he's learned from, and he cited his superstar castmate and fellow Oakland native, Zendaya. "I learned a lot from Zendaya," Cloud revealed. "I guess she just taught me to have some confidence in what I was doing." Fans can expect Cloud to return as Fezco on "Euphoria" for Season 3 sometime in 2024, Teen Vogue reported.
