Who Did The Bold And The Beautiful's Ashley Jones Play On General Hospital?

Although actress Ashley Jones is best known for her role as Dr. Bridget Forrester on "The Bold and the Beautiful," her career has extended beyond daytime television. From prominent roles on shows like "True Blood" to bit parts in movies like "Old School," she's dabbled in a wide variety of projects over the years (per IMDb). However, it's her role on a different daytime program that often piques people's attention.

Jones went from playing a doctor on "The Bold and the Beautiful" to appearing on a show about doctors. In 2016, she landed at "General Hospital" in a role that had unexpected implications for longstanding character Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Lexi Ainsworth), per Soaps In Depth. While Jones' role was limited, the ramifications of her character's actions are still felt on "General Hospital" today.

Ashley Jones played Parker Forsyth, an inappropriate professor

The first time Ashley Jones' character Parker Forsyth was mentioned on "General Hospital" was when Kristina Corinthos-Davis made a jarring revelation to her sister Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco). Kristina had a crush on her college professor, Parker, which led to her failing the class and being suspended, per Michael Fairman TV.

While Sam assumed Parker was male, the character's arrival in Port Charles revealed that she was a married queer woman. At the time, Kristina hadn't come to terms with her sexuality, and the women initially denied their obvious attraction. Then, months later, Parker returned to town and went to bed with her former student for the first time. When Parker once again left, Kristina was dazed and confused (via Soap Hub).

Months down the road, Parker returned for the third and final time, and things went smoother for the two. Parker revealed that she had left her wife and was ready to be in an actual relationship with Kristina. If Kristina were no longer a student, being together would be a plausible option for the first time.

However, before Kristina can drop out of school, the two were caught kissing, and the dean fired Parker. Ultimately, the women left town to move across the country to Oregon, where they remained as a couple — before their 2018 split (via Soaps In Depth).

Ashley Jones will always be known for her role as Bridget Forrester

Even though Ashley Jones had a decent run on "General Hospital," she'll always be most remembered for her aforementioned role as Dr. Bridget Forrester on "The Bold and the Beautiful." She's been playing the daughter of Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Eric Forrester (John McCook) since 2004. Despite leaving her role as a series regular in 2010, she continues to make sporadic guest appearances.

Jones' most recent appearance on the soap came earlier in 2022 after Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) was shot by Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown). It's currently unknown if she'll make any additional appearances during this storyline (via Soaps.com).

Fans would most certainly welcome any pop-up visit from Jones because of Bridget's status as a legacy character. Brooke and Eric are the only two original cast members still on the show, so Bridget will always have a place in viewers' hearts.
