Flipping 101 With Tarek El Moussa Season 3: Details We Know So Far

Fans were first introduced to Tarek El Moussa alongside then-wife Christina Haack on HGTV mega-hit "Flip or Flop." In March 2022, after 10 successful seasons, a divorce, and a handful of scandals — one of which involved El Moussa having an alleged on-set outburst at Haack — the lovable stars confirmed the show was coming to an end.

In an emotional Instagram post, Haack admitted that she never envisioned "Flip or Flop" lasting as long as it did while sharing how grateful she was to have had the opportunity to work with such incredible people. Her former husband, meanwhile, described the show ending as "bittersweet" before reassuring longtime fans, "I'm not going anywhere and I can promise that you are going to love what comes next!"

Indeed, Deadline confirmed both of them have signed lucrative deals with the home renovation network to continue with their dedicated spinoff shows, "Christina on the Coast" and "Flipping 101 with Tarek El Moussa."

As Jane Latman, president of HGTV and streaming home content at Discovery, enthused, "Tarek and Christina are an important part of the HGTV programming strategy with their magnetic personalities and the real estate savvy that it takes to make consistently profitable renovation and design decisions." She added: "We're excited for the future and now their millions of fans can look forward to more great star-powered content."

Fans can't wait for more from the former couple, so when can we expect to see El Moussa back on our screens with another season of "Flipping 101"?

When is Flipping 101 with Tarek El Moussa slated to return for Season 3?

In the midst of confirming that both stars of "Flip or Flop" were continuing their highly profitable partnerships with HGTV, albeit separately, Deadline also revealed that fans could expect to see new episodes of "Flipping 101 with Tarek El Moussa" in early 2023. That might sound like a long time to wait, but, at least, we can take solace in the fact that production on the show has already begun.

El Moussa confirmed as such on Instagram in May 2022, alongside a shot of him posing with fellow real estate investors Marco and Jenny Chaidez. "Back to filming 🙌🏼 flipping 101 is underway, after about six months off of filming," he wrote. "With the wedding and everything else, it feels so good to be filming!" El Moussa added: "Working on some cool projects for season 3! who's excited??"

Clearly, there's a huge appetite for what's to come, with one fan writing, "Awesome I love your show!" while another enthused, "It's gonna be an epic season," and a third gushed, "I can't wait love 'Flipping 101.'" The show has been a massive ratings hit thus far, with HGTV and Nielsen confirming that the initial 10 episodes alone garnered more than 17 million viewers across several key demographics, per Deadline

What could Season 3 of Flipping 101 with Tarek El Moussa be about?

When "Flipping 101 with Tarek El Moussa" was renewed for a second season, star El Moussa acknowledged to Deadline, "The road to becoming a successful flipper is not easy." Thus, the home renovation expert was excited "to show more first-time flippers that with hard work, patience and persistence they can turn their dreams into a profitable reality."

Season 3 is likely to follow the same pattern, while also sharing more of El Moussa's home life with new wife and fellow reality star, Heather Rae Young. The happy couple tied the knot in October 2021. El Moussa proposed in July 2020 after dating the "Selling Sunset" star for a year.

Ahead of Season 2 of "Flipping 101" dropping, El Moussa told People that the best new addition to the show was Young herself. "My favorite part about Season 2 is that we got to incorporate Heather a lot more into the show, so she's more involved with me and some of the rookie flippers," he explained. Their own home renovation was also covered.

On the appeal of "Flipping 101," El Moussa pointed to its unpredictability. "When it comes to house flipping, everything's about the bottom line, and everything's about speed and moving fast. And I can't tell you how many mistakes were made by people not listening to me, not hiring proper workers, not getting the proper permit," he noted. Expect more madness and more stunning home reveals.

Tarek El Moussa is teaming up with his wife on another series, too

For fans eager to see even more of Tarek El Moussa and Heather Rae Young's glamorous life together, the upcoming series "The Flipping El Moussas" should scratch that itch. The celebrity couple confirmed that they'd inked a deal to helm a home renovation show with matching Instagram posts, revealing it's scheduled to drop sometime in 2023.

"Bringing our expertise together from each of our worlds has been so much fun," they began. "We are working on all new flipping projects — from multi-million dollar homes in Los Angeles to a tiny cabin in Big Bear, California, and everything in between that we cannot wait to share with you!"

The reality stars also shared some fun behind-the-scenes shots from the show, promising to give viewers a "little peek into our everyday lives with the kids, our loved ones and our journey to grow our family."

El Moussa and Young have reportedly had a fiery relationship with his ex-wife and the mother of his two children, Christina Haack, particularly when it comes to co-parenting. Photos obtained by the Daily Mail seemingly showed Young and Haack arguing at a family event. Suffice to say, the drama won't be contained to the home renovation projects on "The Flipping El Moussas."
