The Surprising Role DWTS Dancer Alan Bersten Played On Days Of Our Lives: Beyond Salem

"Days of Our Lives" fans are still reeling from all of the action-packed episodes of "Beyond Salem" Chapter 2. The NBC soap outdid themselves with the second installment of their spin-off, and viewers couldn't get enough of the drama, callbacks to storylines from the 1980s, and former characters returning (via Soaps). However, many people tuned in to see Bo Brady (Peter Reckell) and his wife Hope Williams Brady (Kristian Alfonso) finally have their big reunion.

Many "Days of Our Lives" fans will likely remember that Reckell opted to leave the show for good in 2015 when Bo returned to Salem with a brain tumor (via Soaps in Depth). He sadly died in Hope's arms, marking one of the saddest character deaths in the history of the soap. Five years later, Alfonso followed suit and decided to exit the sudser after decades in the role of Hope Brady, per Deadline. Her character was written off due to travel.

However, during "Beyond Salem," viewers got to see both Bo and Hope again, and to make things even better the couple even had a heavenly reunion where things got super emotional. The super couple's epic reunion even had a "Dancing With The Stars" connection.

Alan Bersten choreographed Bo and Hope's heavenly dance

During the conclusion of "Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem" Chapter 2, fans finally got the Bo and Hope Brady reunion that they'd been waiting for. The fan-favorite super couple was reunited in Heaven after Hope was shot by Thomas Banks. Hope was thrilled to see her late husband, and even had an emotional reunion with her late son, Zack Brady, who tragically died as a young child (via Michael Fairman TV).

Bo and Hope didn't miss a beat, and immediately started butting heads before embracing and taking a stroll down memory lane. The tear-jerking moments were filled with sweet flashbacks of the couple, but when Bo urged Hope to return to earth with their family, the couple said goodbye with one last dance to their favorite song. Bo and Hope were seen gliding through the clouds as they performed their elegant ballroom dance, which was choreographed by none other than "Dancing With The Stars" pro Alan Bersten, per Daytime Confidential.

The dancer took to Twitter to tell fans about the experience, revealing that he had "so much fun," and adding that Peter Reckell and Kristian Alfonso did a "great job" with the performance. "I choreographed a dance for 'Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem,'" Bersten previously said of the gig to TV Insider. "It was a great opportunity and a new experience for me," he added.

The moment was iconic, and "Days of Our Lives" fans aren't likely to forget Bo and Hope's sweet last dance in heaven.
