The Most Popular Sweaters Worn By Meghan Markle

Meghan Markle always puts her best fashion foot forward. Her best fashion moments involve looks that compliment her silhouette without too much fan-fair. Meghan singlehandedly made everyone rush to add a white blazer to their closet. Dressed up or down, her clothing choices represent her signature preppy flair.

The Duchess of Sussex is the queen of style with her artfully tousled long locks and her love for minimalist yet structured pieces. On July 18, Town & Country crowned Meghan's monochrome black Givenchy pencil skirt and blouse that she wore while supporting husband Prince Harry's speech on Nelson Mandela International Day as one of her top looks. Understated but powerful was clearly the theme.

Elle also celebrated her style evolution and gave Meghan's red Loro Piana two-piece look during a September 2021 school visit its rightful dues. Meghan stunned in her navy blue off-the-shoulder dress at Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee celebration, too. Though not all of her outfits have been well received, including her alleged fashion faux pas at said event where she repeated an outfit, she's managed to strike out more often than not. In fact, Meghan's love of sweaters has fans running to copy the cozy look.

To dress like Meghan Markle, all you need is a knit sweater and your favorite pair of heels

WhoWhatWear reports that one of Meghan Markle's go-to fashion staples is a comfortable sweater. As proof, her most viral looks regularly incorporate said piece. During a March 2018 trip to Birmingham, England, Meghan was the ultimate style icon as she rocked a soft cream turtleneck sweater under her navy belted coat, per PopSugar

Fashion blog Dress Like a Duchess broke down her look further and tracked down the oversized AllSaints Ridley Sweater she wore for the visit (pictured above). The Duchess of Sussex (and style) paired the popular sweater with Alexander Wang cigarette pants and her signature black Manolo Blahnik pumps, reports Cosmopolitan.

Dress Like a Duchess praised Meghan's casual wear in her 2021 family Christmas card, too. Dressed in the Row Kensington Sweater, Meghan was a picture of pure happiness as she held daughter Lilibet in the air for the first photo ever released of her. The fashion blog dubbed her look "Cali chic."

More sweaters to add to your closet

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's 2018 visit to Northern Ireland was significant as it was part of a peace initiative, reports CNN. Meghan marked the important occasion with another cream sweater (pictured above). Forever the minimalist, she paired her simple sweater with a sleek, emerald skirt.

It doesn't happen as often, but Meghan does incorporate bursts of color into her wardrobe. In October 2019, Meghan stepped out at an One Young World event in a red monochrome outfit, per Harper's Bazaar. She expertly paired her Joseph cashmere v-neck sweater with a leather skirt, and topped off the look with burgundy pumps. She pulled her hair back into an updo, and let pieces of her hair loose.

The entertainment outlet gave Meghan a shoutout for another monochromatic look she effortlessly pulled off. In January 2020, she experimented with neutral tones and wore all brown while out with Harry. Her Massimo Dutti turtleneck and satin skirt completely stole the show.
