Dee Dee shared her grief with her followers on Twitter

Paul Sorvino had been married twice before he settled down with political strategist Dee Dee Benkie. The couple met on the set of Fox News, where Benkie was making an appearance after the famous actor. He told the Los Angeles Times, "She took the chair after me ... I went nuts as soon as I saw her," further explaining, "She's wearing this beautiful blue dress and she had an aura around her ... I said, 'Oh my God, that — this is gonna be for me.'" From there, the rest was history. They tied the knot in 2015 and were together up until his death.

Amid the tragic news of his death, Benkie shared a heartfelt message on Twitter about her husband. "I am completely devastated. The love of my life & the most wonderful man who has ever lived is gone. I am heartbroken," she wrote, along with several photos attached of them together.

According to Sorvino's publicist, Benkie was by his side when he passed away.
