Full House Actress Jodie Sweetin Shares Happy Relationship News

The road to love hasn't been easy for Jodie Sweetin, with three marriages ending in divorce (via The U.S. Sun). Despite the heartbreak, the actress — who played Stephanie Tanner on "Full House" and "Fuller House" — was grateful for her two daughters and a successful career.  "I look back at things that have happened in the past, and I look at where I'm now, and it's crazy," she told Us Weekly. "If anything, my life is a lesson to never give up."

Luckily, Sweetin never gave up on love because she finally met her match in Mescal Wasilewski, a social worker whom she started dating in 2017 (via ENews). The couple were in a long-distance relationship — he was in Brooklyn, NY and she was in Los Angeles — for more than three years before making the decision to move in together. As Sweetin said during an interview on the "Allison Interviews" podcast, the fact that Wasilewski took the time to build a relationship with Sweetin's girls was important. In fact, before Wasilewski popped the question during a romantic hike (via Entertainment Tonight), he asked Sweetin's daughters for their permission, as well as her parents. "He called my parents and talked to them. He did it all exactly right. My parents love him. I'm just really at peace and really happy," Sweetin revealed.

And now, less than one year after getting engaged, the couple has announced that they are officially married.

Jodie Sweetin and Mescal Wasilewski are married

Jodie Sweetin and Mescal Wasilewski are married! They tied the knot on July 30, 2022, in a small ceremony at a private home in Malibu, according to People. Her "Full House" costars Candace Cameron Bure, Andrea Barber, and John Stamos were in attendance.

Sweetin walked down the aisle in a gown from Lili Bridals, and her two daughters, Zoie and Beatrix, stood with her at the altar as she exchanged vows and rings with Wasilewski. The couple also gave matching yellow gold and diamond necklaces to Zoie and Beatrix. After the ceremony, guests dined on tacos and a guacamole bar, as well as small cake and dessert bites. "I didn't want it to be fussy," Sweetin explained. "The look is very organic and natural. It's just about good food and good friends — and twinkle lights!"

After posting the news on Instagram, fellow celebrities sent their well wishes. "I'm so so so excited and happy for you my friend. And of course, he's the luckiest man alive," wrote Paulina Porizkova. And Kelly Rizzo, Bob Saget's widow, shared, "What a honor it was to be there and celebrate your love . . . I know Bob was right by my side. Love you so."
