General Hospital Fans Are Thrilled About Another Return From This Popular Star
"General Hospital" has quite the large cast in comparison to the other soap operas on the air. However, despite their extensive roster of talent, some fan favorites are often placed on the back burner. Sadly, many longtime cast members (and their storylines) land on the shelf in favor of new and emerging talent (via Soap Hub). One "GH" veteran who seemingly falls victim to this far too often is Lexi Ainsworth, who portrays Kristina Corinthos-Davis. In general, the Davis girls aren't on screens enough in comparison to everyone else.
Kristina's family has been in disarray for many months, but her character is nowhere on the canvas. Per Soap Opera Digest, her father, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard), suffered a nasty separation and subsequent divorce from Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright). However, Kristina was absent from these family struggles and hardships. On the flip side, her brother Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) is celebrating the news that he and girlfriend Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) are expecting their second child (via Showbiz Cheatsheet). Kristina should be fully involved in all of these scenarios; instead, she's absent. Nevertheless, a recent spoiler picture shows this hiatus is ending.
Lexi is back on-set and mixing it up with other leading ladies
"General Hospital" fans can sigh relief because Lexi Ainsworth is officially back on set. "GH's" official Twitter account posted a behind-the-scenes photo of Ainsworth alongside Cynthia Watros (Nina Reeves) and Bonnie Burroughs (Gladys Corbin). The tweet says, "Nothing takes the edge off of a Monday quite like a peek behind the scenes. Thankfully, we caught @watroswatros, @_lexiainsworth, and #BonnieBurroughs in between takes today. What sort of trouble do you think they were getting into?"
There's no word yet about what Ainsworth is doing back in Port Charles or if her new story connects to those women mentioned above. However, with her brother Michael Corinthos in a war with their father, Sonny Corinthos, she might find herself in the middle of that feud. One fan expressed their joy and pleaded with the powers that be, saying, "Please give Lexi/Kristina a story! Kristina is a Davis, a Corinthos, and a Cassadine, c'mon!" Another viewer tagged the producer directly tweeting, "Hey @valentinifrank whyyyyyyyy do u not keep Lexi on full time. She's phenomenal. Do ur job keep her. Give her a story line!!"
